You'll have to come out with us one day. The boat we charter is the fastest on the East Coast (quelle surprise?!), powered by pair of Caterpillar 300hp diesel turbos. Just over 30 knots flat out ain't too shabby for a rigid hulled 38' charter boat. Only problem is that at that speed the fuel burn rate is just eye watering!

Boat matey Leaving Brightlingsea at 07:45 (hence why I won't be out on the sauce post curry) bound for a secret spot 15 miles offshore for a day amongst the cod. Was out a month ago and six of us caught 120 cod (most returned) up to 12lbs.
