  1. * * * * * Yesterday.......comparison "for sale" ....... 99 x Emira on Auto Trader UK and 102 x Emira on AutoScout24 Eur. Continent.........total 201 x........ 26 x Evora on Auto Trader UK and 37 x Evora on AutoScout24 Eur. Continent...........total 63 x......
  2. ***** As an Esprit Turbo SE owner since 1993 for nearly 30 years and 2021 (at the age of 78) traded in for the last in the Netherlands available new Evora GT 410 Sport IPS for me it was very interesting to see the legendary MJK alive in this video. A funny detail for me was the relatively short knotted tie he wore........there could be a specific reason for that....
  3. * * * * * .........new to the Forum here, so thought I'd add my car to the group chat. My GT41O in Essex Blue one of 2 alongside side @SEL Recently had my wheels refurbished to Hyper Silver along with a thorough refurb to the calipers and Rotors............... Nice refurb of of the wheels...........matches very nicely with your Evora.......! Was it painted or powdercoted?
  4. ***** Congratulations with your nice Evora.....! best regards, Ruud
  5. ***** Very, very nice......congratulations! Best regards, Ruud
  6. ***** @ Bibs and @ jonwat : Indeed the Esprit's colour is "Steel Blue" ... The reflection of the paint differs along the day / from clear / sunny whether to dark afternoon....
  7. ***** As a 2nd owner in 1993 I purchased a 1990 Esprit Turbo SE (25k kms on odo) I loved it and drove it untill 2021 (55k kms on odo).......so loved her 28 years. In 2021 it was still in perfect and original condition and I decided to trade it in; with the purchase of the last in the Netherlands available Evora GT410 Sport IPS. It was difficult to let her go, however I did not want to miss the latest analogue Lotus and the latest Lotus in my life......I now am 80 years of age My Esprit was so good that the Lotus importer sold it within 2 weeks It was stored in my garage and driven approx. 12 times a year mainly/only wih nice or dry wether, saw a couple of raindrops only 3-4 times, never drove it when salt on the road, it was permanently connected to a normal battery charger; due to this permanent connection the life of all the 63 Ah lead-acid batteries was each time limited to exactly 5 years.........this is not a problem as these batteries are cheap and I had no fuzz with discharged batteries. My cam belt change period was extended to approx. 10 years.......never went wrong, the removed old cambelts were each time in a very good condition. Brake fluid change was more or less a liitle neglected by myself........at 52k kms. the left front brake caliper began to "hang" a little......I renewed all pistons and rings of the calipers by myself plus new brake fluid.....it was a rather easy job. My garage in the Netherlands was rather cool with less access of UV rays.......I think therefore the Esprit never had dried rubbers, tires etc............It was completely free from rust etc thanks to the galvanised chassis. My financial depreciation from 1993 to 2021 was nearly zero; total maintanance costs (incl. 1 set of new Good Years and one revised turbo charger after damage when duelling with a Porsche) approx. € 8.000,- = approx GBP 7.000,- € 285,- per month) Of course fuel and road tax should be added.......the legal liability insurance was all those years the cheapest available at GBP 270,- per year. My Esprit at home in 1995......... My Esprit for sale at the dealer in 2021....... Receipt of the '21 Evora GT 410 Sport IPS My Evora GT 410 Sport IPS again.......dark grey metallic + alcantara
  8. * * * * * I agree with you.......very funny.........
  9. * * * * * Lotus registered delivery figures Germany, 2023 until September........ 2023 Eletre Emira Sonstige Gesamt Januar 11 11 Februar 12 12 März 25 1 26 April 37 37 Mai 37 37 Juni 31 31 Juli 9 18 27 August 8 19 27 September 12 11 3 26 Oktober 0 November 0 Dezember 0 29 201 4 234 Total: 234 https://www.lotus-forum.de/WBB/index.php?thread/14089-lotus-zulassungszahlen/&pageNo=34
  10. ***** Even 27 x Emira on autotrader now.......prices remain steady. Quite a number of them with a couple of thousand miles record. Emira sales stalling? Only 15x Evora........ Evora's seem to be picked up rather quickly.........
  11. ***** Lotus owner for 30 years already.........first Esprit, now Evora.........life is short; now nearly 80 years of age. Much in love with my 2021 GT 410 Sport IPS..........1 of only total 3 GT 410 Sport's in the Netherlands. 2021 traded in my 1990 Esprit Turbo SE / 32.500 mls.......still missing a little, however wouldn't certainly want to reverse it.
  12. ***** Indeed........personally........for a long time already I have the same opinion about the bettter overall looking of the last Evora's. Glad that I did not opt for the Emira but for a new '21 GT 410 Sport.....
  13. ***** LotusEvora 410 Sport JPS 2018 / 14.500 mls € 147.000,- ...... GBP 130.800,- https://www.autoscout24.de/angebote/lotus-evora-410-sport-jps-benzin-schwarz-83d39042-b60d-4601-8c38-c78f70c39a75?utm_medium=email&utm_source=DE-RTM&utm_campaign=SearchSubscriptionRedesignSummaryBase_de-DE_Live&utm_term=detail
  14. * * * * * I am of the same opinion..........terrible!
  15. Yes, I did.........I was not impressed at all......only the looks are fine......but will be boring as time goes on. I did own an 1990 Esprit Turbo SE since 1993. Years ago I was aware of the launch of the new Emira / had pictures seen .........however I was fearing a.o. about the present teething problems now occuring and that the new Emira would not fulfill the expectations and needs of the true Lotus enthousiast. The Emira 6V today costs € 151.069,- (GBP 132.940,-) In 2021 I purchased a brand new 2021 Evora GT 410 Sport IPS. At the same Dutch Lotus importer I paid € 139.500,- (GBP 122.760,-). (excl. trade-in amount for the SE) So I preferred to purchase the new Evora GT and now are happier with my choice as ever before.
  16. * * * * * I doubt it..........the picture indicates not the only spot.............. This you kind of alignment you will not find on the last edition Evora's.........!
  17. ***** The same here, all works very well and fine with my 2021 GT 410 Sport........ gregs24 telling....." Heat was on or off, cold draught in the footwell and a fan that sounded like a learjet".........simply is not true imho!
  18. * * * * * 2021 Evora GT 410 Sport.............dark metallic grey.........
  19. * * * * * I also likes the GT410 Sport better as the Emira, that's why I purchased in 2021 a new one and did not want to wait for the Emira. From the Evora I also like the front- + side windowshields / roof bulge / arrangement ..............resembling the Koenigsegg ...............a little mysterious
  20. ***** Another interesting link............. https://www.autoscout24.de/lst/lotus/esprit?sort=price&desc=1&ustate=N%2CU&size=20&page=1&pricefrom=0&atype=C&pricetype=public Be carefull with Italian cars, mostly the mileage is altered....!
  21. Congratulations...........my personal note however: Ref. the Evora GT430 Sport: ........."It's still one of the greatest sports cars of all time for sure."......... I am pretty sure that after you experienced the Emira sufficiently you will not sell the Evora GT430 Sport any more........a world of a difference ........and very, very charismatic......
  22. ***** Well done Max............!!!
  23. ***** Interesting post on the Emira forum regarding EVO's review of the EVORA: And a confirmation of what many of us knew long about their Evora ..........they were not willing to replace their Evora for a Emira 6v FE...... This month's EVO has a review on the original Evora where it gives it 5 stars (Emira 4*) and reminds us it beat a gt3 to car of the year on launch. See further...........: https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/evora-5-evo-car-review-to-emira-4.1844/#post-49784
