  1. (Was it related to the Queen Jubilee ?! Sounds stupid but ... )
  2. Stupid question maybe, but are the drag coefficients ever verified? I mean, the performances (and weight) figures are notoriously off on most brands so why would it be different for the drag coefficient?

  4. Not an Esprit only video, but ...
  5. I think in the USA it's more common to modify cars anyway?
  6. 27k-Mile 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 25th Anniversary Edition Winner – 5 bids to $85,000 on May 25, 2022
  7. If I remember well the max boost of the S4s is 1 bar without the overboost. I am not sure how you are trying to adjust the actuator? It should be done with a pressure gauge and a calliper (the measuring one, not the braking one :D) and that's about it?
  8. Just to be sure, maybe you could try to reset the ECU since it may have learned bad infos when your cat was blocked?
  9. Indeed there were still some Toyo a couple of years ago but they seem to have disappeared! I can't see much available on 123pneu.fr either for instance 😕 (=delti in other countries if I understand well)
  10. Do they have the inner part too by the way? (I think I have seen some but never went that far to check whether they had the right dimensions)
  11. They do but, would the driver be able to get out of it? @exeterjeep Your photos are very interesting as they show new cars straight out of the factory so they are a good historical reference (same for the M100 ones you already posted) Thanks!

I am surprised the aerial is on the right side?!

I confirm it doesn't look like my SE either.
  14. Has this been made by someone here? It's pretty awesome. And there are other videos of FEM simulations on the chassis too.
  15. Hello and welcome to you @Spoon! Nice car and nice road too, which is a good combo! I hope you don't have too much work to do on it, after all a blown coolant pipe is nothing and a flywheel is not too hard to replace either (I don't know if they are still available though?)
  16. It had a diesel generator?! I didn't remember that! (but on the other hand I am not sure I have seen that episode — at least not the whole episode)
  17. I would say an electric one with a petrol engine generator? (I think in a hybrid the petrol engine can propel the car too?)
  18. Are you sure your cable is assigned to the COM 3 port? You should have a look at the device manager on your computer, is should look like the attached screen capture. If it's not the same com port number, you may change the number in the lotus.cfg file or change the number in the device manager (if the COM 3 defined in your lotus.cfg file is not already used of course)
  19. The battery is a serious handicap though, and as for the rest it might be doable to gain a few kg but what would be the cost? I guess they cannot do a full carbon body for a reasonable price for instance?
  20. I reckon it's pretty clear it's an SUV for people who like an SUV and all its standards features, not for people wanting a hardcore ultra lightweight car with no carpets and fixed windows like in the early Europa. As long as they are just extending their catalogue with high end sport-ish cars I think it's perfectly fine if it helps them make a profitable business (I thought it was sad when Jaguar started making diesel cars but I don't feel the same here)
  21. EDIT : here is a picture which will probably help you (please ignore the red arrow, I just downloaded the picture from Internet)
  22. Hello and welcome to you @BigGutBen! Which steering wheel are you referring to? The Momo one in the picture I posted in the first post? All I know is it's a Momo one but I don't know if it has a name. I heard that generally the manufacturers cannot sell what they produced for Lotus directly to a customer (OZ wheels for instance) As for removing it I don't have one so I can't elaborate on this but I am sure it must be quite easy as it doesn't have an airbag anyway.
