  1. ...and the Esprit V8/Cessna together
  2. Interesting "reunion" of a Chapman, an Esprit and a "JPS" Cessna 414 at the Shanghai circuit this week
  3. Autoevolution: This 2004 Lotus Esprit V8 Final Edition Is Ready to Haunt Your Twin-Turbo Dreams https://www.autoevolution.com/news/this-2004-lotus-esprit-v8-final-edition-is-ready-to-haunt-your-twin-turbo-dreams-212284.html# Pic via https://bringatrailer.com/
  4. This is Dan's back in 2004 at Potash Lane (my pic).
  5. And Dan's John Player tribute is now with Katsu in Japan, as far as I know @Guy Munday
  6. 20 years ago today, Lotus marked the end of UK Esprit deliveries with an event at Ketteringham Hall that @Guy Munday was involved in organising. These weren't the very last UK deliveries (four more UK cars were reg in Apr 2003 and one in June 2003) but they were part of the batch of the 15 UK final cars recognised with a glovebox plaque (delivery info courtesy of Lucas Reynolds)
  7. Also good to see a relatively unmolested X180 NA on the cover of the latest Classic Cars
  8. It was the description of Lotus as a "Chinese car company" I was referring to...
  9. Well, it’s factually accurate...
  10. Exquisite early Stevens X180 Turbo featuring in this road-test comparison article. Is the owner on TLF? https://www.classicandsportscar.com/features/ferrari-328gts-vs-lotus-esprit-turbo-vs-lamborghini-jalpa-junior-supercar-showdown
  11. And both have Citroen transmission 😀
  12. Thanks, I mis-read and thought one of the DVs in pic was Shadow. Other than the base-sec FOS 2021 car, I've still not seen a pic of Shadow on silver rims (which is my order!)
  13. Late G-Turbo (so HC). Reg in June 87. SORN with no MOT details, and quick investigation suggests it’s been sitting outside that house for over a decade (assuming it is still there today). Having owned extremely pampered Esprits for over 30 years, I find it heartbreaking to see this in a suburb of Swindon!
  14. As the years advance, the more the clean lines of Peter Stevens’ original X180 Esprit improve. Its looks encapsulate 80s styling the way Giugiaro’s original S1 does the 70s. So it’s incredibly sad to see that derelict, unloved X180 Turbo - a car that as I report in the latest Absolute Lotus retailed at around £30k when new in 1988. A similar white X180 Turbo was used by Lotus for early promotional material (this is the retouched version with original grey sills colour-matched to reflect later trim spec). Sigh...
  15. Tragic. Very early Stevens Turbo. Last MOT expired in 2011. Anyone know this car?
  16. Checked on progress of the Lotus Mayfair showroom. Looking good. Opening in July, according to a bloke in a hard hat I spoke to. Any confirmation, @Bibs?
  17. Esprit "barn find" in Bangkok (looks somewhat molested 😟)
  18. See my earlier post in this thread... 😒
  19. Is the scale of the Emira pricing increase consistent globally, or does it differ by market?
