  4. the body went off my car 4 years ago......but have not done much on the esprit for the last 2.5 years But i think working on it and dreaming what it is going to be is as much pleasure as driving the car so do whatever you want to do but the most important is to enjoy what you do!

  14. The car is advertised on pistonheads for 15.000,-. http://www.pistonhea...les/1958948.htm With a conversion the price is very depending on how the work is carried out. So I think it is very difficult to estimate the value without examining the car. Good luck!!
  15. Always nice to see some things trial assembled for the first time.... Still a lot of work to be done, inlet manifold, throttle bodies only loosely fitted. I want to use an alternator of some kind of turbodiesel car with integrated vacuum pump so i can get rid of the lotus vacuum pump, suggestions anyone?

  17. Does anybody know the thread of the central camshaft bolt on the side of the V-belt? Thanks Cor
  18. Hello, Simon, have to give credit to the previous owner, mark who had the cam towers and complete injection system polished. Just had to clean and paint the engine to complement this. Cost me a lot of elbow grease as they say. It is starting to look as an engine again. Cor
  19. Finally some progress again.... Built part of the engine last weeks, fitted new cranckshaft, liners pistons and so on......... off course son Luuk was my helping hand..... Hope the next update can be sooner than this one Cor
  20. Indeed Gunther, The time we had this was with a classic car which had a lot of parts which were sandblasted. The stuf should have been in intake parts which i think had not been cleaned correctly after blasting. As i recall it it looked the same as your stuf. Was quite some time ago about 20 jrs or so. Cor
  21. Hello, do not know if it ads anything to your disaster... Have had stuff looking very much like this coming out of an engine once before, It appeared to be shot blasting grid!! Did a lot of damage to the engine btw. Cor
