Thought the title would get your attention..

Does anyone know of this 380? Any history that a potential buyer would need to know?

Thanks

Hi all

I’m looking at the below car as am really keen to get back out on track in a Lotus again.
https://www.sytner.co.uk/car-search/10764923-1289958-lotus-exige-3.5-v6-380-sport-2dr/?supersearch=1?ictd[master]=vid~0208fc72-8f40-4eee-a9c8-fd9179aafc29&ictd[il2558]=rlt~1577477373~land~2_16146_seo_9a0a906844038c38f502d4b22b6f7643

Does anything know the car at all? My finance chap is away at the mo but replied to a text saying he had quoted on this a few weeks ago but hadn’t happened as something about car being tracked? As I intend to use it on track that doesn’t bother me at all unless it had a big off or something.

If anyone know the car I’d be very interested in their thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Good evening all,

Can someone please fill me in on the white 380 Sport £55k that's on Pistonheads? I'm about to make contact but noticed a few comments above about it and that I may have some shady history!!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

To be honest I couldn’t tell if he was talking about a car in France or about that actual car in the comment above??

Contact the seller and ask the usual questions (any crash damage, any repairs, is the chassis ok etc) and see what response you get. You can make it a condition of sale that the car gets inspected by a specialist prior to purchase.

Chat to the seller and see how open they are to inspection and about the car’s history. That normally sets the tone for me, if they’re cagey and don’t give much information then walk away. There’s a white 380 at Strattons for another £3k with a dealer warranty...

Stratton is a great dealer. Sales manager Marc goes the extra mile on service. I am sure a deal can be done on his car. Btw I bought my car from Stratton and it’s the best service I have ever had from a car dealer.

He is talking about the one in France. Not the one from the pistonheads ad.

Hello Guys

I've been lurking on here for a fair few months doing my research before taking the plunge & getting a V6.

Planning to view this car at the weekend & just wondered if anyone from the club knew it/it's history or had any advice on viewing it?

Thanks in advance

What don't people like about the 350 roadster that makes them so cheap compared to a standard one. Surely with a hardtop they are the same car

hindsight: the science that is never wrong

Lack of rear spoiler I reckon......plus remember the first Roadsters interior specs were more about luxury than sportiness - ie quilt-look leather seats, full carpets and I think all the first roadsters had silver wheels.....so let’s say a more GT look.

I think the consensus of the Exige V6 buying public was that a more “raw” look was what they were after😎

There also seems to be a common misconception that the Roadsters are "softer", when in actual fact the springs and dampers are the same, different geo and a slightly thicker rear arb on the Roadster are the only difference (race suspension being an option on both the Roadster and Coupe V6S)

Been for sale for a while and looks a great spec, 410’s at under 70k must be causing 380’s above 60k an issue

Yeah.  This one has been there a long time.  Lovely but... IMHO i think a 380 in this market with that many miles is a mid-£50s car.
