That number seems to have flat lined and we may be using so many first doses that we have none left over for dose #2. I personally don’t mind waiting a bit longer for dose #1.

It's funny isn't it but many companies are now finding a way to make Brexit work when it was all doom and gloom before. Take Nissan who have done a complete turnaround from Brexit is a disaster to headlines in January of "Nissan says Brexit will git it a competitive edge" - "Nissan says Brexit deal is positive"

Wasn’t there an issue with Cadbury chocolate some years back? Something about it’s ingredients? They ended up having to call it “Family Chocolate” in many EU markets to differentiate it from most of the mainland EU manufacturers. Post Brexit, maybe it now makes no sense to manufacture it in mainland Europe and import it, if the vast majority of the stuff is sold in the British Isles? Good news either way though.

The issue was they changed the recipe for all the chocolate treats that were not "bars" of dairy milk as Mondalez decided to substitute the high milk content with cheaper fats/oils.

So things like creme eggs, mini eggs, double deckers etc moved from being "coated" in a Dairy Milk to a cheaper chocolate.

That's why on these things it just says Cadbury's chocolate as opposed to "Cadburys Dairy Milk".

I seem to recall there was a lot of fuss a few years ago when they changed the recipe for Cream Eggs, Cadburys then made it clear that Cream Eggs had never been made with Cadbury's Dairy Milk.

Actually I seem to recall it was admitted by Cadbury's that the chocolate was indeed changed to an inferior product. What they did say was that they had NEVER ADVERTISED the chocolate as being dairy milk (even though it was).  Since 2015 the Creme Egg has indeed been an inferior chocolate product though I do still munch on one from time to time. Occaisionally when bored, my son and I have been known to stuff a whole creme egg in our closed mouths to see who can make it last the longest!  So far neither of us has died!

Yes - I used to regularly consume one of those massive bars of Whole Nut over the course of a few days, but since Mondelez (the company who own Kraft) changed the recipe, Cadbury's "chocolate" now tastes almost as bad as American "chocolate", with that unmistakable tang of vomit, caused by the addition of butyric acid. I lived in the US for a few years, and had the misfortune of occasionally tasting the foul toxin known as "chocolate" over there. I'd challenge any Brit to eat a whole bar of the stuff without puking.

The butyric acid that is created during whatever process American "chocolate" manufacturers use on the milk is what gives it the vomit smell - it is exactly the same acid that is found in vomit and parmesan cheese. From Wikipedia:

mmmmm lovely! Bizarrely, some American "chocolate" manufacturers, trying to replicate that delicious Hershey's vomit-taste actually add butyric acid deliberately. I'm not sure what the exact process is - maybe they just ensure some of the factory workers are perpetually unwell and get them to puke into the vats of "chocolate".

Hmm, I’m very deliberately not going to comment on the sense of the law, but the logic in the reasoning there is flawed. 
 

It says that it will cost insurers £xxxm. Adding this cost to the economy. All insurance does is move cost from the individual(s) responsible to the insurance industry, which then spreads it via premiums (incidentally paid by those now buying policies, not amongst everyone else). 
 

so all it does is move the cost from those responsible who are not insured (but can be) to insurers because it is now compulsory insurance. 
 

The only additional cost are the cost and expenses of the insurance company which are (contrary to popular belief) a very small percentage.
