Wheel nut Torque

Removed the rears yesterday to get the rim rash repaired. Should be back Wednesday.

Anybody know the Wheel nut torque settings or where I find the info?

I've always gone with 'pretty damn hard' as I do the nuts back up. Haven't had a wheel fall off on me yet!

It’s in the owners and/or service manual somewhere. (Google also knows it). 😉

Don't forget, clean your nuts!  Well studs.

 

Threads need to be clean and all mating surfaces need to be cleaned to avoid the dreaded 'clicking'.

I found the best solution to the clicking was to do the nuts up to 110nm. Had repeated issues and constantly cleaning all the surfaces and it always came back after a few hundred miles. No problems since I upped the torque a tad.
