S4 Engine bay hoses

Hi all, thinking of changing my engine bay rubber hoses to silicone. Have read here that they creep/shrink at the jubilee clips and so are prone to leaking.  Opinions please and does using other types of hose clip stop all such leaks,  what type is best ? Thanks.

The search is contextual so I was in the Engine/Ancilliaries forum and used the search from there, it then only searches this forum. The search is very good but it needs a book to fully explain it!

It is always Good Practice to apply a non-hardening sealer to the mating areas of any hoses. A non-hardening sealer like Hylomar Blue is a favored approach. 

ESPECIALLY when used on aluminium pipes which often corrode.

BTW, on an Esprit, it is always useful to take pictures of the orientation of the jubilee clips before removal...don't ask me why I suggest that! 😨 😬
