End of first edition orders coming soon...

Just received this from my local dealer / agent in response to asking about the new colour samples:

"I just wanted to update you with regards to ordering an Emira, Lotus are going to stop taking orders for all First Edition's on the 29^th of June, which includes the i4 in the new colour's and you will only be able to purchase a Base Model Emira after the 29th. Just thought I would let you know to place an order in, if you do really want a First Edition."

I hadn't seen anything about this anywhere on here so thought some may find it useful... don't think I'm ready to place an order yet!

wonder when they will have the price on the Lotus web site. And then there will surely be a list of options to take the possible cost above the current first edition?

they fid not mention it on Sunday at the coffee do at Greendale farm.

If you are going to the Hendy Thruxton do, then at least one of the Exeter team will probably be present for questioning... , plus maybe someone from the factory?

I may not make it to Thruxton this weekend actually - but I think most of the local agent team will be there and the promotional blurb for the Hendy day does say that there will be a selection of Lotus cars (or something along those lines... so maybe someone from the factory - as there was last year wasn't there? - brought along the Emira...).  If you go @exeterjeep, do ask!

Did a dealer really send that e-Mail out to Lotus customers? It’s embarrassing.

if true, I think the lack of a company announcement is the embarrassing part!

There is nothing wrong with the intention of the e-mail, but the English is horrendous. At least they didn’t send it out to all of their customers.

It turns out that this was a misunderstanding... actually more to do with some pressure to get confirmations of spec in place asap... so please ignore, i4 FE still available to order for some time to come! (I thought there would have been a bigger communication!)

I don't really understand why anyone would order an FE now. Get on AT, find one of the many unsold, low mileage cars that will probably match your spec, if not listed phone the dealers to find one of the many unlisted cars, and save yourself a fortune off new and a wait.

Unless of course you want an i4 😁

but yes, it’s a fair point if you are after the V6…
