His legacy at Evo, which he founded, is a great body of work, written and in video. As a serial supercar owner (and an Elan) his ownership stories have been fascinating.

 

One of the last things he did for Evo (before leaving to join JLR to establish their 'halo' car operation) was a trip up to Hethel just before DB got nuked. He was extremely hopeful for the future. He saw prototypes for the Esprit and Evora Spiders. I guess that's one of the few things he called wrong.....

I remember him fawning over uncle Dany signing cheques, he was a bit soft in that article, almost in love! Musta been the hair and Dany did always smell so good!

Agreed Bibs. Not the best bit if investigative journalism I've read. But the comments about the cars and how far the Esprit and V8 engine had got filled me with hope. Shows how wrong I was. Or gullible. Or both. Probably.

I guess if he went there expecting wonderful things he was getting what he hoped for and drank the Bahar Kool-Aid with a shot of extra Kool-Aid in there for luck!

Seriously great enthusiastic video on the great Testarossa. One of the very few Ferrari's I like. Extremely elegant and glorious sound. Only thing for me is the instrumentation and center console, but theat's all part of the timeframe it existed in. Still look rather odd.

 

Hoping to see more from Harry.

Harry, who founded and funded EVO left last year and now heads up Jaguar Land Rovers' 'Special Projects' division, so the videos will have dried up I'm afraid.

Maybe as a special guest or Projects leader? Anyway, I've seen much of what he have done, and I like it, even the Landrover stuff, ha ha

 

I remember he did a very nice Lamborghini aniversary video from Italy. Very nice indeed!!
