Lovely Buddsey, but somehow I think Lotus managed to improve on it with the S1.

not sure if this should be in the Esprit picture thread but as there are two then why not. Our outing from yesterday in the sun while you had all the rain.

Hi Chris, yep should have loads of them, she belongs to a good friend of mine and is almost immaculate, very low miles and only a 3 owner car. Ping me your email address and I will send some to you. Bill, her owner is thiinking of selling her.

Looks lovely, never seen one in bronze before.

It's done well to hijack an Esprit photo thread too!

There is a picture of the Excel production line with a copper car on it, with black bumpers. Might even be this car as I understand it was restored/painted by a previous owner. Not sure about the body coloured wheels, sometimes you look and think yeah, then you look again and it doesn't look quite as good

In the garage no-one can hear you scream

As far as we can tell the car has never been painted and is all original and thats from the PO who dismantled the car just for the sake of it and rebuilt it over a few years back to as new, not too sure of the wheels, never managed to have that confirmed. The S3 in the background is actually mine and presently up for sale to make way for a new project, mechanicaly restored at huge cost  and running great.

Hi John - is it a cloth interior ?

You should post them up on the Excel piccy thread, so we can all admire them.

Hi Chris, yep the Excel has the cloth interior in Champaigne/Gold kind of colour, it's like a cord material and still in pretty good nick, not all worn as a lot I have seen.

Just my kind of interior.

Looks fantastic. I might be interested a bit later in the year.

That's a great picture.

I remember seeing one of these cars at Castle Coombe in the early 1990s.

Chris, Mike,

Maybe the roadster was this one.

Only thing changed meanwhile is the interior is now black.

She is the only TurboEsprit in the series.

But most of the other five ones were also there over the years.

Three of them at a very rainy meeting.

I wonder where the other convertibles are around nowadays?

Got no reply on the roadster-homepage from other St Tropez owner.
