Esprit 40th Anniversary

RODOLPHESPRIT

40 years old means no road tax doesn't it? Cause for celebration in itself!

Production of the Esprit didn't actually start until 1976 either but we can always celebrate the Turbo Esprit's 35th anniversary instead aka 'any excuse to drive over to France with some other Esprits'.

Interesting :)

Still want to take the S1 to Monaco and drive a bit of the circuit.... could this be the excuse i am waiting for?

Could take it easy on the old girl and transport it from Aberdeen to the south coast somewhere and keep the miles down!

1975 is the first prèsentation in Paris of the esprit , they start to deliver it in 1976.

But the adventure start in 1975 in Paris .

If you want the raining choose the October month...

We have the opportunity to celebrate this year the 40th anniversary of the press presentation of the lotus esprit.

It was in Paris , but as I say due to the recent terrorist problem it will impossible to do that in this place.

We have the choice of place but not the choice of the moment.

Italian Spanish Austrian Portuguese Swedish Belgium and French waiting for it.

I ask you because you re English and you know the mark and the model and because lotus is English it will normal that you will be the biggest numerous of models.

So I give you 2 place one in south and one in center ( nogaro / Le mans)

And now iif it s possible it s time to choose one.

I know it will be difficult for every one to be present .

But we have to choose it very quickly because asked me where and when.

So ralked called wrotte and give me your choice.

Please

Depends on when. I have been to Le Mans many times in both the Esprit and Excel. Le Mans old town has many restaurants and there are equally as many in the main town centre. The Loire Valley is a great area to visit so people would not run out of things to do, and it would make a very good holiday to include the Esprit anniversary. Portsmouth to St Malo or similar is good if you want to keep the mileage down in France.

Nogaro, I have never been so I am not sure of what else to do in the area. However money permitting I would be interested either locations.

I understand the problems but I have to say that it would be pretty awesome if it was at the original venue.

Anyone pull some strings and get "The Silver Car" to be on show?

I like your thoughts Gordon.

I do not see why Paris is not an option.

Paris!!

Driven through it several times. Not the place for me. Traffic and more traffic and use your bumpers to park. I value my cars too much to drive through the city.

Sorry but its only my opinion, may be others will love the place.

Hethel may also be an option for this...

Hethel does sound good. As you say rodolphe, it is a long way for you to travel same as several of us traveling to France from the North of Scotland, 700 miles from home to Dover, but wherever it lands I am sure we will have a good presentation of the cars.
