Hi,

 

I'm really sorry to have to do this but its very unlikely I will be able to make this event now do to family circumstances which is a real same as I've wanted to look round the museum for years!!

John 34 carb turbo wont be making it Martyn. Sorry out of my hands.

Suspension, brakes, chipped, chargecooler rad and pump,injectors,ignition coils and leads, BOV, highflow cat and zorst, Translator and tie rods, Head lights, LEDs to tail lights and interior,Polybushes to entire front end, Rad fans, rad grill, front end refurb with aluminium spreaderplates and galvanised bolts. Ram air, uprated fuel pump, silicone hoses through out, wheels refurbed and powder coated,much more, all maintenance.

Any arrangements/times to arrive by, I am assuming it will be an early start and need to get the cars I for before or very soon after the main doors open.

The dedicated entrance gate will be open from 9.30am till 2.00pm this year, so there's no need to get up too early. I'm not sure where we'll end up this year as there is work going on at the American Air Museum some of the normal pitches are not available. They've told me they have a new queuing system this year to get everyone in quicker and reduce any queues on the A505.

 

I'll post full details and a map next week.

What are they doing at the American airforce hanger?

Seeing the super fortress being dwarfed by the b52 is something else and then there is the transformer AKA Jetfire, hiding in plain sight ;0)

Yep its being refitted out,

 

Highly recommend this day out to anyone who can make it, I can't as car is in bits and I'm doing a different car shwow with work.

Yes the American hanger is closed for the next 12 months :0( the website says most of the planes are visible in other locations in the museum, I would like to see where they store the B52

To be fair we did get a mention last year, but as they've used our picture it would be nice.

I don't think that will be a problem Dave. It's one of the few shows that doesn't restrict movement to certain times, even the entry gate is open till 2.00pm this year.

Martyn - when/where are you going to meet, and what time are you aiming to be at Duxford.

 

I'm going to meet up with Mark at Tesco in Hatfield, anyone else is welcome to join us there for a run up the A1/A505, and we will try to co-ordinate to arrive at Duxford around the same time as you.
