3-Eleven

I'm not super keen on the Lotus engine/supercharger cover, it's just a bit flat and featureless and it might have been worth fitting some different headlights perhaps, just to differentiate the front a bit more from the Exige but otherwise I'm finding it very hard to fault. I need to drive one of these at the earliest available opportunity!

Looks like we might finally be getting some forged wheels from Lotus too.

There's an option for 2 seats on the road version. You'll need to find a brave passenger though Barrie!

Doing the man maths a 991 GT3 would need 700bhp to match its power/weight ratio.

Bibs, any chance you can get any photos (or good info) of some the mechanical underpinnings/improvements.  I'd be interested in seeing the "packaging" of the charge cooler and the additional (much needed) extra cooling rads, etc.

Looks like Lotus added a proper dash ( Cosworth?), and I see they went with fans on the top side of radiator. I hope it's a more efficient  radiator than the triple-pass they put on the CupR.  Also, I'd be curious as what Lotus did for oil cooling on the 3-Eleven.

Any info you can garner for the factory Lotus people in attendance would be much appreciated.

I could see one of these in the garage next to the CupR replacing my 2008 2-Eleven, if I can convince the wifey.  :D

Presumably we are we looking at a race spec car going by the xtrac paddle shift and single seat canopy. Looks like the Exige CupR rear wing so maybe the road version will get 2 seats, lose the carbon extended front splitter and possibly a smaller rear wing.

Very smart idea to limit production to 311.

I bet it will be a real rocket ship with 450 bhp!

I think I'm of the same mind as Pitts I just can't justify a full on track car of this ilk, as much as I'd love one.

Fingers crossed there's a  450 Cup or similar in 2017 when mine is likely to be replaced!

450bhp!!! That GR-FE is full of surprise...  Bibs you knew didn't you?

There's no doubt it is an Eleven... And it reminds me of this little red thingy which is no bad thing:

Pinifarina-Ferrari-Sergio-18.jpg

Now what is the new composite material is it based on the hemp fiber Lotus came up with for the eco Elise a few years back?

I guess that a few of the 3-Elevens wiil be part of a new Lotus Eleven Cup that has to be already in the cards.

This thread now has some serious porn pictures. My god I love it. What a turnaround for Lotus, the future's no longer orange, it's green! :)
