Wow, didn't see that coming..........

Good luck dude, maybe do some automotive recruitment too......would have a couple to start you off :D

Best tip is get a good accountant, they are worth their weight in gold and do much more than just accounts! If you need a hand just ask, qualified a few years back to MCMI standard and would be happy to help with any problems you may have.

Well done Bibs!

I'm pleased for you mate - and happy new year son.

Coming up to a year of Esprit ownership for me and none of it possible without you. You made my dreams come true so no doubt a new venture will be a piece of pish for you!

You may want to communicate with my brother as your new/old venture was his business for a long time! PM me if you like? I will tell him that you may be in touch.

Thanks for everything mate - loving your work man.

Know how it feels mate, i'm only 34 and when i handed my notice in three years

ago, i'd been working there for 16 years and was the longest serving employee...

"That Chandler will never leave..."

They said, And then had a go at shafting me.

The only 'go' they got mind.

Bye!

"oh..."

Am sure all will be well, thought about returning to the tables?

They've been really nice about it as it goes. I guess as I'm a director and longest standing employee it makes sense as shouldn't be such a surprise!

My MD has waived my contractual obligation not to deal with our old clients for 2 years post-employment and has even given me permission to extract all the data from our database as a leaving present which is really kind and a great help to start me up; over 1,000 clients and 3,000 candidates CVs!

I'll not be going back to the casinos, can't think of a less dynamic job and 8 years of that was enough for anyone!

Congratulations Andy, I wish you all the best in the future :P

I have been self employed since 1981!

Its been a different sort of existance, quite liberating at first , but can be relentless and very stressfull at times. :(

Late (or all) nights to meet deadlines, working weekends, customers who are hard to please , customers who are late payers (or dont pay period), and dealing with the government are all par for the course. :(

The upside is at times you can make good money :D

Good Luck to you, hope it all works out for you..

As an ex recruitment consultant myself I know you've done exceedingly well to leave with full blessings and no contractual obligations!

Congrats and good luck! Is this part of the master plan to generate enough income for a new Esprit when it arrives?

Wow you've finally given the Harley rider the boot?! :D

Good luck I hope it all works out, I know the gamble you're taking but I am sure it will pay off way more than that account jockey ever would!

Whaddya think? :D

Fantastic Bibs.....but I'm not sure in these PC employment law times that you can so blatently discriminate towards the right?

Good on you dear boy. It takes loads of courage and a bit of recklessness to do what you've done - just what we need in a forum owner! I'm sure you'll get all the support we can give you on here. Good luck.

.......and...err.....got any good jobs going.....I am right handed ?

Cheers

Reckon we ought to do the only decent thing and adopt this design as the forum's car window sticker, and make it mandatory of course :D

Damn! Now I'll never get my Factory shirt!

Best of luck to you, Bibs! The only way to get ahead in this world is to work for yourself. Good on ya! Just don't get too busy to drive that car.
