Here is a long overdue update.   I delivered my car to ZR Auto in Calgary, in February.   I last posted here in March.  It took FOREVER to have my work put in order by Mansory and Komo-Tec.   Some delays in the manufacture of the aluminum bits for the chargecooler and condenser, but it has all arrived.  As a one-off, I was waiting months for all the nice carbon fibre parts to be manufactured.   However - all parts have been shipped overseas, have arrived in Canada, and cleared Customs.  There are no assembly instructions at all, so it is very much a work-it out as you go project.   The new headers have been installed, but I don't have any pictures of that.  Some modifications to the original stock parts will likely be required.  Here are some photo updates for now.   Seems it will still take a while yet !

Thanks guys.  You are absolutely correct at how expensive this has become.  I will post more pictures as the work progresses.   And yes, I have decided to keep the red theme, but I'm going to try out Chrome Red in vinyl wrap.  May as well make it shiny!

Well, for the sake of continuing updates, here's the current status of my car, on the way to becoming a GTE clone.   My car is now at a body shop.   Seems the GTE body kit isn't exactly "bolt on" ..... but rather it requires some rather drastic "modifications" to the original body.   Yikes!   But if you ever wanted to know what the heart and soul looks like underneath the skin ...... here you go.

Cool pics John,  sorry to see it is taking so long but if it was easy a lot of people would be doing it.    A very unique car is the reward for you at the finish line John.

The Evora is many, many things. Easy to pull apart, it definitely isn't!

Still a slow process, but I do believe we can see progress being made.   The car is now back from the body shop.   Time for final assembly, including the wing and rear end.   Then fine tuning and wrapping.   But at least it's starting to look like a car again!

What's the solution for your rear wheels? Looks like they need a mighty spacer

Great pictures! They really show how much wider the gte panels are.

The gte wheels have a much bigger offset.

Looks fantastic even unpainted and with bits still not fitted apart from the back rims,  holy cow those new rims you will fit must be beasts.

Ate you sticking with the standard spoiler or the wing? I saw photos of another car that had the GTE kit and standard spoiler and thought it looked superb.

Great to see progress on your car.  Still waiting impatiently to see progress on my repair (but we have got the last set of GTE wheels).

I am going to go with the rear wing,  in keeping with the original GTE look.  I do have the GTE wishbones.   Thsee last pics are still with the stock Evora rims.  The GTE wheels have not been installed while the body shop work was going on.   Thanks guys - it has been a long haul,  but it's nice to see it coming together.

Must admit, I always liked the look of the original wing that was shown on the pebble beach car back when the GTE's  were first announced. It's the one that was sorta halfway house between the std wing and the full fat one. It had a mansory logo embossed on the back of it so I may be available from them still. I would like one but imagine it would cost a small fortune.

OK.   Here's  a couple of pictures with the GTE rims installed, clearly  showing their correct offset.   The dust caps and logo are not on yet.   The rear clam and bumper were being installed, and the vinyl wrapping is due to start on Monday.   After it's wrapped, the final carbon fibre trim pieces get added, and then a final once over of body and engine.   So close to being done, but it seems that spending much time driving it will have to wait till next year.
