Forgot to mention that Quinn (Deighton's personal mechanic) is a Thursday regular at the WH.

Good time to discuss JD's pending wedding ha ha!

Hmmm... just looked at the menu. Bit more pricey than the H&H, and no fish and chips

Mains

Herb crusted rack of lamb with bolongere potatoes red current sauce and fresh vegetables  £16.00
Surf and turf with sirloin steak and spiced paprika crab chips and peas £20.00
Duck breast with dauphinoise potatoes, sesame seeded green beans and forest fruit sauce £16.00
Salmon fillet with crab and dill rissotto in tomato sauce £15.00
Quail stuffed with lemon and garlic with thyme infused fried potatoes and a red wine reduction served with fresh vegetables £11.00
Aubergine cannelloni with garlic and olive bread and side salad  £11.00

However, the starters

Starters
Black pudding with smoked Mackerel topped with poached egg
Pork terrine with selections of pickles and toast
Garlic and chilli baby Squid
Mixed wild mushrooms with stilton sauce
Soup of the day with freshly made bread
All £6.50

I reckon "all" of these for £6.50 will be good value :getmecoat:

JayEmm....might be an idea to start looking at the menu now :)

I've had a glance. Anything with a quail's egg on it is certainly a cut above the usual pub fayre!
