The "I've spun a 3-11" Support Group

I hear someone spun a 3-11 at Goodwood FoS this weekend - not sure who was driving. Having experienced a spin in a 3-11 myself I'm happy to offer some advice perhaps through a new support group?

Its a traumatic experience!

On the plus side, I hear that they build 3-11s with rabbits feet strategically placed, and hence neither incident resulted in damage. A blessed car indeed!?

In the end I chose "go home", with the only thing louder than the squeaking from my brakes being the squeaking from my pants!

See page 4 of the 3-11 Picture and Video thread for my effort.  (I would link it but am rubbish with technology!)

What happened there? He can't have been going too fast. I'm going to guess the circuit was very wet, as it looks like he turned left and there just wasn't any grip available?

I think you're right James. I believe David had mentioned there was very little grip on turn 1.

He was very quick on the circuit at Goodwood when he took me around in the 3-11 a couple of weeks ago. An excellent driver and very nice chap.

Hot on his heels was Oliver Webb in the BAC Mono, recording a time of 62 seconds with a finish speed of 106.7mph. Completing the podium was the Praga R1R. Tomas Vojtecia crossed the line at 102.8mph just 62.85 seconds after setting off from the bottom of the hill.

There was only one timed run unfortunately and yes you guessed it, it was the one in which David spun in the Video above and clocked a 71.51. He was very annoyed as he was pretty confident he would win it.......Oh well. BTW he is now know as David Spinnard :-)
