Well, after a week I think we have some interesting results (If you consider toast information as interesting!).

We have "Nicely Tan" as a run away winner so far. No one dislikes Toast but sadly, none of you are burnt toast converts like me!

It's a lot closer when it comes to what we all put on our Toast. "Just Butter" is just ahead of a tied second place of Cheese, Jam and Marmalade! With Marmite/Bovril/Vegemite just one point behind!

Again I was surprised that some old favourites didn't do so well, like Beans and fish (Smoked mackerel was always for breakfast in my household when I was a kid).

Still time to vote ya bunch of wierdo's!!

Forgot about honey. Been getting quite into this over the last couple of years. Not the mass produced supermarket stuff but the regional small suppliers. There is some made in my village but also many in the area. I prefer set honey and the flavours from the seasonal flowers are fabulous.

Hipster alert!

Right. Late to the party on my specialised subject.

Toast. Properly done with the right topping, it would be right up there on my 'last request' meals.

Toast. Made by using just made bread, sliced not too thin/thick and then toasted until light brown. (Do not rest on its side so the condensation lets it go soggy)

Wait until 90% nearly cold and butter (unsalted) so as the butter does NOT soak in (congealed grease yuk)

Spread Crunchy Peanut Butter a plenty ?

This is now Toast perfection personified. I thank you!

p.s. Beans on toast always remindes me of a plate full of rabbit droppings.

Great subject Kimbers ? And can only be surpassed by Sausages as next up subject ?

Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk - that will teach us to keep mouth shut!

Butter AND peanut butter? Was with you right up until that point Ian.

Personally prefer salted butter and fig jam on cooled toast (looks awful tastes divine), or honey. Or scrambled eggs if going savoury (with masses of butter).

It's all in the bread IMHO; we use a local farm shop for home made loaves and it is IMPOSSIBLE to eat supermarket stuff now.

Sorry but the US style French toast looks appalling!

In the garage no-one can hear you scream
