Interesting, I guess the rough "look" is due to the prototype aspect of the project ?

Rough look? I'm assuming you are having a laugh!  Have a look at OEM and others.

Sorry, it is a komo-tec manifolds, down pipe and cat.  It was komo that did the weird stuff and 2bular have rectified it.

What weird stuff had Komotec done when fitting the cat? It now looks quite heavily modified to fit the new exhaust.

Thanks to Back on Track for their hard work on the cad. Exhaust is fitted and looks awesome.  I’ll feed back on my thoughts once I’ve run it in a bit as I’m taking it super easy.

New front discs and pads fitted

Also big service done, air filter clean, new plugs, new oil in both engine and gearbox (gearbox feels better) and probably more I’ve forgotten about.

New side skirts were also fitted today, but I’ll follow up with that when I’ve taken some better photos!

Perhaps not a question that should be asked at the moment.  

But if you reach the end of your quest for perfection, a total costing of expense would be interesting to know to compare against Lotus’s latest performance incarnation the Exige 430.

Assuming you have  kept a costing  !!!!

I've got to a stage where there's no way I'd swap for a 430 Cup even if it was free.  My car spec is personal, but also lots of great things which 430 doesn't have, like LSD and 60l fuel tank.   I haven't worked things out accurately, but I think I'm in for about £35k over the purchase price for everything including running costs.  Maybe more... 

Side skirts look great, I'm very happy!

Looking forward to the new wing, hopefully it arrives before my trip to Marbella...

I got the bodyshop I use to fit them as they also painted them.

@GFWilliams is the first to test a design i've been working on which blends a bit of the Lotus OEM and Eltech design side skirts.

I've decided to make them also in a thicker material for better rigidity. Im working on final painting options and pricing before making them available for folks who may be interested. The aim is to give the community a reasonably priced solution, made in the UK, which can be shipped to you in days vs months.

Sounds very interesting - are you also planning on doing the small rear diffusers ala 380 ?

That was actually the original plan... however when investigating moulds which turned out too cost prohibitive, then potentially 3D Printing which I fear could be too fragile in practise... I put that idea on the back burner, especially as I found the WinAce rear spats actually quite reasonable value (albeit a more aggressive design to OEM).

Dont think there is any ... not sure how much we get in ground effect with our cars anyway ... think we are still too high, to make it significant ... at least mine is ...

@550superfast there is no known aero dynamic improvement... they just look cool and really set the car off especially with the big wing
