Fair enough - I normally follow the instuctions with paint, but you're probably using something different!

I had my callipers painted without even removing them front the car. The finish is great, and it seems very hard wearing. As George says, they’re baked naturally with every use 😀

Had a few pretty full on days, working on my car.  Ken has been painting more parts, and has used satin lacquer on the interior carbon. I’m not sure how this will wear, but I like the look of satin carbon for interiors, and I prepped the sills, managing to get out some of the deeper scratches.

I’ve also got my Nitrons removed, ready to be sent off for a full check over at Raceshocks prior to sale. Tractive dampers arrive tomorrow, along with some new brackets from @Seriouslylotusto replace some rusty ones! 

It’s taking a lot of work to get the car finished, I’ve had the car running though which is a lovely feeling!

I think the satin finish should look great 👍 I put a matt/satin finish on the interior bits of my S1 by wet sanding the lacquer with very fine sandpaper.

First delivery of the day… 8 new bleed nipples. 6 months ago I ordered some from eliseparts that said they were for every Lotus. They weren’t long enough so didn’t seal.   @Seriouslylotusas always do the rescue, he didn’t have the correct ones, but pointed me to where to get the correct ones!

The more exciting delivery today was my new CORE dampers!

I fitted up one rear damper this afternoon, I’ll get the others on tomorrow morning if all goes to plan.

Last few parts are now painted!  Unfortunately I’m away for the rest of the week working, but it’s now only about a day of work until I can be out driving it, so next week I can start taking some proper photos of it!

I don’t think they’d be able to make it work with the damper length possible on the exige unfortunately.

Final parts are done with paint!

@Edinburgh 111s - I've been using social media for over half of my life and have over a million followers for my photography work on various platforms, I'm more than aware of how the internet works.  Everyone can have an opinion, and that's great. Doesn't mean I care about their opinion though, especially when they haven't actually seen the car yet 🥴

I have built my car for me, and me alone, there are things on it that people won't like, I'm absolutely okay with that as I love it all. 🤗
