Going on Sunday, think this is my 7th in a row!

Done the last two years on Friday, which I have to say I prefer but my mate couldn't get the day off.  Although the top drivers tend to be Sat/Sun its that bit quieter on Friday,

Sunday for me. Not missed one yet, although recent years have been just a brief "pop-in-pop-out" visit each time. This weekend might be the same as I get fed up with the general public very quickly!

Aston Martin are showing their new V8 DB11, Jaguar have a monster 600bhp XE SV Project 8 to show off and even Bell and Colvill have a couple of stands there (Morgan and Lotus) but is there any factory backed Lotus presence this year?

Bag Checks!

As is to be expected these days, anyone entering with a bag or rucksack will have it searched upon entry at the gate(s). Obviously this includes camera bags too. It might be worth giving yourself some extra time if this applies to you as it's not a quick process.

Quite a sad state of affairs isn't it? Relying on a dealership to display a selection of their stock in a tent to promote your brand on premier worldwide stage.

Not sure the FOS is as important to manufacturers as it once was, either that or it has become too expensive. Noticed that Volkswagen, Peugeot/Citroen & Mazda were all absent this year.

Funny... I've bought a few cars on the back of first seeing them at the FOS

Elise CR (introduced me to lotus and 2 further purchases)

Audi RS6

Golf R

The manufacturers will have no idea that those sales can be attributed to the FOS because I did not engage with any reps or give any details at the event.

Thought B and C' s Morgan stand was far better than their at the last minute lotus stand in a. tent

Taking the Elan down tomorrow :-)

I went to the very first one which was like a small garden party compared to what it is now, still a great event though.

Went on Thursday.  Have been to more than half a doz now, but I tend not to go in consecutive years.  Its still an awesome day out.  Just love the stuff on the house side of the hill.  Salon Prive, Supercar paddock and all of the racing stuff.  Not really bothered about the manufacturers side and the tat stalls on the other side but still spend a couple of hours over there in the afternoon.  Where else could you go to see the full run of Veyrons from Pre production to Chiron parked up together.  Or a dozen Fezza 250s ... at least one of which reportedly worth in excess of £38m (!)  DB11 looked very nice, but the Vulcan a bit pointless and a bit too noisy.  Bumped into Emerson Fittipaldi doing some stuff with Michelin - which was nice and unusual for the Thursday as all the names usually stay away from it.  Lovely bloke.

Loving Lionel and Eleanor......missing Charlie and Sonny
