Totally agree, that’s why I had the button switch reinstalled

but I noticed that thing on startup.

do u think this is normal, and due to no back pressure on exhaust when valve is open?

To reassure you I have the same cold start hesitation when the valves are open. As soon as the engine is fully warmed up it goes away completely.

Did you have the Cup2s on it too? If so, good job. It's snowing here today and so much rain yesterday that my neighbour Noah started to build this big wooden thing in his drive. My Evoras staying in the garage as I'm a pussy.

I’m with you there Andy! We must have a more cautious disposition in the frozen north; especially when Cup 2s are involved.

Still waiting to see daffodils in bloom before  bringing the tango’d thing out of hibernation at some stage next month.

Took mine out for a run round in the week, first time since pre christmas. As said it just is a joy to drive and makes every other car I keep thinking about seem ridiculous.

However I have now had to put it back in the barn to protect it from the sun.

Roads were mostly dry but was a very gentle and short drive, nothing to trouble the Cup2s. Such a slow drive I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Just feeling that chassis react so precisely, the accuracy, agility and poise, so sharp yet so calm. I had forgotten. Really is an automotive delicacy.

Only gave it the merest tickle but enough to feel immediate throttle response and that smooth, linear surge just swelling, hinting at the mechanical rage to come.

Everything that makes Lotus cars special is here to savour but to find those qualities in the relatively larger and heavier Evora makes it all the more surprising and remarkable.

Mine's been used most weekends this winter. Its filthy! Took it out today, it was mega. Every time I have vague thoughts of selling it, one drive - even pootling around town - is enough to make them disappear.

Still want a type r though... Got to work on the Mrs!

There’s another Dave on here! He lives in the Cheltenham area & was taking his GT430 to Williams for some service work the other week before a euro trip in it in March. Don’t know how long he was leaving it there for, dark colour possibly black. Went in convoy to the Lotus 70th with him in 2018.

It does sound much better and its not too invasive when you are on the motorway either - need it to drown out the sound of the rattles on the dash board anyway!!

Rattling dashboard? My 410 Sport is sound as a pound when it comes to not rattling. You need to get that sorted.

Lovely car by the way, did you buy it from B&C recently?

Both. Sounds like something isn’t connect right inside the air vent, if I push it when I am driving it stops, but if you hit bumps are pot holes sounds like the window or mechanism is knocking too.

Same is me, I settle the finance on my Elise and Jamie did me a great deal, I did look at the 430 too but couldn’t see myself in an olive green car!!

One thing I’ve found is that the wiring loom is held in place with zip ties onto plastic saddles, the zip ties weren’t tight and that caused a creaking noise. I’ve had the head unit, the glove box and the Shrouds around the steering column out and cured 98% there is still one I cannot locate.
