No, it’s not a GTE. Just a Win-Ace bumper on an NA car.

The GTE was (is) not available in the US. So, he used Mansory parts instead.

Only a few exterior mansory parts though, he didn’t buy the interior bits they made for the Evora.

I heard a lot of blame put on the instructor and not much responsibility taken for his own actions. Grabbing the wheel is not unusual from what I’ve heard of some instructors.

I understand exactly what he's on about. 

Haven't crashed myself but heard a lot of provardo from an Instructor who talked a lot of shit and could easily have ended me up in the wall. He was making money on the day, didn't care. Too much chat about his RS ? and not enough instruction... Looking back that smug look at the safety briefing... No respect towards the basics, a utter cock. Since had loads of instruction from quality instructions who funnily enough "instruct"! 

I admire his passion for driving on track and not being put off, it's the best.

I agree the guy talks a lot of sense. He identified all the markers to be wary of, cold temps, first session of the day, novice in a fast car, instructor who didn't give a tosh etc and learned from them.

As to him taking responsibility for his own actions, that's not right. He was under instruction, the instructor has a duty to instruct, not to put the novice driver in a bad place ending in a crash. A good instructor should build a rapport first, get the student to build speed gradually so he/she can feel for the limits safely in a controlled environment. If the student comes away having learned something their confidence grows and the instructors job is done. This one clearly didn't give a shit about his student or the car and should be named and shamed, only way to weed them out. Bad instructor.

 

eta not many people have the self awareness to admit their limitations and put them on a public forum, good on him for that!

That said, how was his driving on his first laps on a cold circuit, being a novice driver and cold tyres that the instructor felt the need to alter his course and that he ended up off circuit anyway despite his instructors intervention? I wonder if there's another video with an instructor saying about the day he nearly died when a novice didn't listen and thought he was on a qually lap on his first time out?
