Wheels - Colour Coded Black?

Recommended Posts

Just a quick effort with Photoshop has given me a good idea of what gloss black wheels on my car would look like. What are your thoughts? Do they look better than silver, should they be gloss or matt?

I did want to go with gold and more gold trim throughout the car to head towards a JPS theme but the more I think about it the more I don't think it would look right on a Stevens.

I'd make sure your car was more black than white (stone chip special effect) first! Hehehe

Does look nice though....honest boss!

Really would like to give my opinion, but the car in front is blocking a good view on the wheels...

Whose car is that Bibsy? :vava:

Steve (Scoule) on here has a black 350 with gold rims. Looks great! Have a rummage for piccies, I know I posted one or two on the Factory visit thread (I'd look myself but I cba! )

Gloss black on a gloss black car can look a bit too much and would need to go either completely black with the rest of the car or pick out a few key details with another colour.

I'd probably prefer a dark silver (almost charcoal) colour on those shape rims.

When are you thinking of buying the black Esprit in the pic?

Black alloys looks fantastic, but I would suggest matt or satin and not gloss.

The shade of gold makes all the difference. That shade is a bit bronze-y to me.

I quite like the gold on the black. The car I am rebuilding is Gold in colour and I really wanting to add a set of black alloys to it.

Black wheels look gash!! Keep them silver... Black wheels look like your wheel trims have fallen off and you can't afford new ones..hahahaha.. Seriously i'm a silver only man as far as wheels go..

right then mr bibs, you know my word is the only one you should be listening too on a subject like this.

gold ....NO

black....yes but only satin or matt. as the car is gloss black it needs a different tyle of black, justine has gone for satin now but is changing to matt black soon to make more of a difference. (mine cost

silver or grey, not gold, too cheap looking IMO
