  1. i would have said that is perfectly normal for a personal guarantee. I always advise to avoid personal guarantees where you can. However, If you are sure that the company will pay, then, no bother.
  2. @C8RKHWe first came across Pineau de Charente several years ago when we first stayed in the region, which is why we, as a group, drink it when we get together. For the same reason, we drink a fair bit of Monbazillac. We have "done" the Remparts weekend several times and love it! Usually get seats in the Cathedral grandstand and once got 6 of us got caught driving the track before the weekend started (got lost, guv, honest!)
  3. Just booked ourselves a lovely villa just outside Sarlat-la-Canéda in the Dordogne. 6 Lotus, 11 people - for a fortnight in the sun (hopefully), with lots of wine and cameraderie. Possibly a stop off at Angoulême on the way back.
  4. I am not sure if it is the same in the Exige, but, in my wife's Skoda Yeti, the dial is in MPH, but because it is not calibrated in KPH as well, the car has KPH as the digital readout and you cannot change it. I think that it is because the cars must have it in both and if it is not on the dial, then it has to be on the digital readout. Hope this helps.
  5. Brilliant weekend. I have been twice. Would recommend to anyone.
  6. If your only income is taxed at source and you earn under £100k p a. You can phone them (har har!), and tell them you don't need to do one.
  7. FJ costs me £75 p.a. for the Esprit as an extra to my policy with them. Well worth the money. Taking the Elise this year, so will have to find cover - that is insured with Hasting Direct.
  8. Beer anyone? Tuesday 16th? Goat at Timsbury?
  9. What do I do? Drive it.
  10. How about designing a car with, oh I don't know, a unique shaped peice of metal that is difficult to duplicate and fits into a special slot that you have to use to gain entry to the car? Would that make cars more difficult to steal?
  11. If you you mean Lots of Gin, Beer and Tonic drinkers I think you will get swamped.
  12. That is OK. I am content being 2IC (or just leaning on a shovel)
  13. Not me - once I am done in the office, I am done. Put me in charge of road design/building. Let me build some great chicanes and NO speed bumps.
  14. Count me in! You may have gathered by now that I am an accountant, well the Revenue decided to close their "dedicated" helpline to us for some things this month so that they can deliver better customer service. Anyone read 1984 recently - Newspeak, was it?
  15. @KennyN You might want to check other years!
  16. Best advice (but I would say that!) is go see a local accountant. He will probaby give you an hour's free advice and will be able to clear up all your questions. You never know, he might even be able to save you money. He will certainly (or rather should) keep you out of gaol! It may be that you have been chosen because of your ebay profile and nothing to do with Wendy. The Revenue ocassionally choose a profession/trade to focus on. One of those recently has been ebay traders who do not declare their income - it is possible this is you! Again, an accountant can help you out if they decide to investigate earlier years and impose penalties and interest. Again, I would say that - guess what I do for a living!
  17. Did you see the video posted on November 15 above @Techyd? Quite interesting.
  18. Anyone want to buy my Windows XP laptop?
  19. So was I. I didn't understand a word! (Can't find an "irony" emoji)
  20. Ah! That all makes perfect sense!
  21. And why do they move things that were already in a logical, sensible place? Sometimes it just seems like change for changes sake!
  22. That is my experience with every software update, ever! Change is bad!
