Ooooh, is it the view through the windscreen of Sparky's GT3? He did say it leaked a bit.
  2. You could make a formal complaint, I've done that in the past. As expected, it's a long-winded process, but I did eventually meet with some success after I told them I wasn't paying up, and was happy to go to a tribunal. Be advised - if you think you can elicit any kind of sympathy, even when you have them bang to rights when they've clearly and blatantly, cocked-up, it will all be to no avail.
  3. A bit like trying to get a GP's appointment. They hope you either recover from whatever ailment you might have had, or die. Either way, the problem's solved, job done.
  4. And it's comforting to know that HMRC stays the exactly the same, no matter which flavour of government we get. By that, I mean incompetent.
  5. The 'good drivers' bit might be a bridge too far.
  6. Maybe Starmer could throw some dietary lessons in for parents and kids at the same time?
  7. Presumably, teaching time for maths/English/languages/science etc. will be reduced as a result.
  8. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-67943548 Whatever happened to parenting?
  9. Getting you drunk isn't the issue. It's what happens after that.
  10. Another Classicline customer here.
  11. Is that an over-water dunny on the starboard aft side?
  12. This IS the U.K, and not Russia, right?
  13. I just read that Post Office investigators were paid for each conviction. Seriously?
  14. Currently trying to get an answer out of my son as to when mum and dad will be required for cat-sitting duties on or around 18th May. It’s like pulling teeth. He’s going to a wedding with a fixed date, FFS. How hard can it be to make the arrangements? F*&cking kids. So, at the moment, I still only do 11th and 25th. Maybe a poll is in order?
  15. I can do weekend of the 11th, or the 25th. Can’t do 18th, due to cat-sitting duties.
  16. He's probably outside polishing it even as we speak.
  17. The two coppers on Pitcairn Island must be rushed off their feet.
  18. Yes, drive. I’d take the Esprit. And the wife, as long as she promises to behave.
  19. I’m interested, but can only do it from 10th May onwards.
  20. In my experience, there's a big problem with holidaying in Florida - Never knowing who's going to be knocking on your front door while you're in the pool tipping a large G&T down your neck.
  21. Now in its 5th successful year, the Esprit d’Aventure event will take place in France in September, between Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd. This year it takes place in and around the area of Correze, and is organised by Hugues Bigot in association with ‘Club Lotus France’. The format allows participants to choose either two or three nights in the hotel, and includes both cultural visits, navigational driving with your Esprit, and the experience of being with an enthusiastic group of other Esprit owners, who have come together for the event from all over Europe. Last year, there were 25 Esprit's of all models. This is an enjoyable event, highly recommended by yours truly, and there are usually about 5 British Esprit's in attendance. To register your interest with no obligation, in the first instance e-mail Hugues at - bigot.hugues@orange.fr Any other details will be in the France events section as and when received.
