  1. The black one used to be mine. I rescued it after almost 30 years of slumber. I believe that @Dan E might have parted with it recently. The white one is James Bond spec with Compomotive wheels and I think used to be owned by @Trevsked
  2. Sounds like an episode from Only Fools and Horses where Rodney thinks it will make more money by paining it red to look like a Ferrari..
  3. Wow they both look to be riding incredibly high don't they? Can anyone make out what Essex number 861 DK is?
  4. The grate singer Nat King Coal?

Easy mate, its a Sud Ouest SO-6000 Triton
  6. Was passing the Lotus showroom in Central London today so went in to have a look at the new Emeya. Although I've never been a fan of electric cars, it really does look fantastic and, having spent some time sat inside it, I'd say it's a truly amazing bit of kit. Mightily impressive. Well done Lotus.

  8. Don't worry if he comes back a second time and does it again. Only an issue if he come back a turd time..
  9. Or in English.... Hello Superdavelotus! Thanks for the good news - I'll buy it. Can I call him? Kind regards, Martin
  10. Good luck @pete You can always ask for those rubber gloves though it will be an 'added extra'.
  11. Looking at the rust on the speedo. They're not wrong when they say "It is not often that a Lotus comes up for sale in this condition"....
  12. @Jack Stone Max, yes I do have one of the Essex jackets but being a medium it doesn't fit 🤣 I was at Classic Team Lotus last week and spoke to Clive about reproducing some Essex branded items. He said that he'd been thinking about commissioning some Essex V neck sweaters. He didn't mention any Essex gear he had unfortunately. @nello - what do you mean??? I bought the personal registration plate 1 ESX not thinking Essex but, being dyslexic, something else completely..
  13. Ian, not sure it would be worth doing that to your ears..
  14. There was a red HC Turbo c1987 at Goodwood in the car park on Saturday - maybe returning home?
  15. Agree with Justin. Of the two the better one to go for will probably be the one with better service history that has been better maintained by specialists. Others will argue differently but in my view a lower mileage car, all other things being equal, would be a better bet. As a rule of thumb, with Esprits, buy the best one you can afford. In terms of colour the ruby red one is probably Silk red and does look fantastic in the flesh and is potentially less likely to fade to 'Calypso pink' as it is sometimes called
  16. At least one of those S3 NA Esprits is Glacier Blue not blue steel 😀
  17. That was Salon Prive at Blenheim Palace - Really strange that the two highest profile ones in the UK are both held on the same weekend - seems bonkers to me.
  18. Picked up the runner up award for the Club Trophy at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace on Saturday. There were some truly stunning cars amongst the 30 put forward by car clubs so I was absolutely chuffed to bits.
  19. Fabulous history that helped launch the best sports car of all time? Where's the front number plate though?
  20. Saw a blue one of these yesterday. Looked great but I wasn't sure what it was from the front but you can't mistake the back end.
