So Mr Khan! Honestly this little episode made me realise what this country has become.. Today my son is driving into London, so yesterday I said to save you any hassle I will put your car on my Congestion Charge auto pay account, so you don't ever get caught unawares. I log in to my account add his car then think I will check to make sure what cars are on the account, well in there is my wife's BMW i3 which i am pretty sure everyone knows is an electric car, therefore exempt, and 100% TFL know as they have her number plate. But it says it and i quote, "CC should be paid" confused and being old school i give them a call, you can imagine how painful that process is, after 25 minutes I get through to someone and explain the situation. "oh you need to register it for exemption" "Sorry what?" "You need to register it for exemption" "but you know it is an electric car it says it in my auto pay account" "yes but it hasn't been registered" "no, I registered it two years ago" "yes but you need to register it as an electric car" "but you know it is an electric car" So it turns out I have to pay £10 to register it as an electric car, even though they know it is, then find the V5, which i had to upload, now its exempt! and whilst i am having a moan i have now spent 8 hours on the phone pretending to be my son to get him a UTR number so he can pay HMRC tax we are now entering week 11, when you are on hold it keeps telling you to apply online and you will get your UTR in 10 days. We done that 11 weeks ago. Could we not all club together and just buy an island with one pub, some excellent roads and a cafe that serves decent sausages (don't get me on that) Dan E

Have a great time all, I will be there next year, I had my Christmas do in a Maidstone Hotel last night, the food was absolutely shocking, the wine undrinkable, disco hysterically bad, lots of pissed people doing coke and I actually laughed when i went to my room due to the decor. See you all next year and 100% book a cab

Myself and Sparkles often have MIL debates, he clearly wins every time as she lives with him and mine thankfully lives about 10 miles away. Last time i was over there she was telling me about the singer who lives in her fire place who she also doesn't like!!

my 91 year old, at the time, MIL was in hospital after another fall during covid, she got covid but as she is made out of 65% asbestos and 35% carbon fibre she was asymptomatic and had no issues unlike us.

i only watched this because of you Sparkles, Commander bailed out within 15mins due to the blood but actually it was brilliant, I will now point you all to Breeders which if you have kids is the funniest programme i have seen in years. We have all been there

I am not coming this year Sparkles mainly because my works Christmas Do is on the Friday and i am staying in a hotel in Maidstone, I can only spend a certain amount of time in "The Medway" due to the visa requirements and tax reasons

100% agree used to buy a Mondeo Estate every 3 Years put just over a 100k on it then get another had 3 in a row. Absolutely brilliant cars never had a thing go wrong with any of them. I also think the latest one is one of the best looking cars on the road

I have both @GoblinLotus85TE as i have now sold the Esprit. The indoor cover is pretty much mint with bag and was bought off of TLF even though @Bibs without my permission decided to advertise TLF on it😜. Pretty sure it is a Specialised cover it is top quality that's for sure I also have an outdoor cover that came with the car also in a bag i think. I never used it as my car was always garaged.
