  1. well always F%^k bob, i know, as you know Sparkles, that when it all goes wrong there is nothing like the NHS. I reckon ( well i know) that i cost you tax payers at least a million quid. But for all their faults they literally saved my life 13 years ago, the after care was shocking. but i have had 13 years with my family which i wouldn't have had without them and 100% the left side of my head is worth more than a lot of cars
  2. Gavan and what does he know 🤩. Sorry @Bibs it going to be slightly more uncomfortable on the way to the most badly organised trip to Spa ever
  3. just dampers which i think is Phil spec
  4. I have just bought via TLF, well @Bibs the Phil spec dampers for mine. Off to Spa Classic next week and won't have time to have them fitted. When i get back it is going to Back on Track for fitting and full geo. It's just a little too hardcore for me (wife) and what i use it for, will keep original dampers just incase the next owner (never going to happen) wants to put it back to standard. Very excited to see the difference
  5. All over, French and Germans are excellent, Italians are mad but i kind of like that, Spanish also pretty good , no one beats the brits at being shite at lane discipline
  6. I still don't understand why people just sit in the middle lane with nothing on either side and even weirder is when you pull out to overtake and who you are trying to overtake speeds up!! To be fair this seems to happen a lot more in the Evora than my daily. I rarely rise to the challenge because i don't often pass cars that can do 190mph
  7. Best post so far🤩, @pete would have said, "i don't like motorways"
  8. @LotusLeftLotusRight drives me, if you will excuse the pun, absolutely mad i drive 64 miles pretty much every day and most of that is on the motorway and I would say 75% of drivers sit in the middle lane, my question is why? Surely that is the most dangerous lane to be in and it is totally a British thing I have never come across it anywhere else. America maybe but at least you can undertake there
  9. Yep brilliant idea, I was coming back from work yesterday on the M20 and as i am completely anal about lane discipline I always pull into the middle lane if someone is entering off the slip road (I am one of them weirdos who actually uses lane one) , well twunt-ox number 1 coming off the slip road clearly didn't see me and i had a car in the outside lane next to me so she started to pull straight across lane one to get into lane two, where no doubt she would stay until her turn off, so i booted it and no harm done. That's what people do not understand there are two ways of getting out of trouble and it doesn't always involve braking
  10. as I said on the text, getting a 30 year old Esprit manifold off or Bob no contest, Bob doesn't stand a chance. You look after yourself Sparkles. x
  11. you came across really well Kimbers, good to see Dad as well, I remember sitting opposite him at the TLF Christmas dinner absolute Gentleman
  12. @Barrykearley funny you should say that, my son has been working for us for about a year mainly because he didn't know what he wanted to do and he never seemed in the slightest bit interested in doing anything electrical. He absolutely loves it, I got him a 2 week work experience at Bellway doing Quantity Surveying last Month and probably with a shoe in if he wanted it as one of my best mates is actually pretty high up in Bellway. Well he came back and said, Dad that is not for me I want to be a sparks. I was actually really pleased he did so he will start his apprenticeship in september. I have stuck him with some of the old school guys who actually know how to bend a bit of conduit and can fabricate stuff when the manufactured bits won't work. the only issue is i have noticed more and more of my power tools seem to have gone from the garage and into the back of his car 🤩
  13. including the massively well organised one this year 🤩

  16. Yesterday on the 34 mile journey home from the office, I pulled out behind a Ferrari FF, lovely looking thing, now i have to drive through some country lanes to get to the M20 so we had a spirited drive through said country lanes keeping a decent distance between us, then on to the M20, the guy had excellent lane discipline and we followed each other the whole way back to chislehurst, he would let me go, then if the situation was reversed I would give him a quick flash of the headlights to let him go. When we split off on 2 different roads he gave me a thumbs up, always kept a respectful distance between us although we did hammer it when we came on to the A20 into silly numbers but safe and fun made my day.
  17. we have it on everything, probably my fav herb!! In fact that salad @C8RKH just described is exactly what we had last night with garlic new pots, roast chicken with the addition of thinly sliced radish
  18. @Barrykearley if you need to do the rear deck lose that spoiler and i reckon it would look stunning
  19. 100% its an esprit 😍 well i hope it is
  20. agreed he once fixed my Esprit by telepathy and i still wish that wasn't true
  21. Sorry I think he did. I have known Sparky for 10 years maybe more and you won't find a more helpful chap as many on here will attest to (Sparkles you owe me a pint 😃)
  22. Mr @SSA ELAN ESPRIT he really does know what he is talking about, so i would actually listen and reading the comment I don't think there was any "Smart Arse" about it
  23. 100% give him the problem. I will make sure it gets paid tomorrow
