  1. I am a bit late to the party but indeed it was the coolant tank indeed. I hope the previous owner did not maintain the car himself! (To me such a thing as an A/C freon tank doesn't exist anyway, so ... )
  2. Hello, You should post a photo just to be sure your car is standard so we can confirm it for you.
  3. Yes, he made a similar statement about a McLaren he was reviewing a while ago.
  4. Caterham? As for the GT Turbo, isn't it called Super 5 GT Turbo and the other (earlier) one R5 in the UK?
  5. same from here although I think I was attempting to reach the uk website directly.
  6. That makes more sense, I was a bit surprised
  7. Yes, and so did I. I sometimes think I should look for a good one to buy
  8. (the thumbnails shows a (praised) S1 Elise but of course I set the time-code to an Essex Esprit)
  9. Well, they do know the Esprit well enough since the 70s.

Now that is a good idea ... and another one:
  13. How can it be that off?! Have they never been near an Esprit engine? Oo
  14. (@Jack Stone Nice! — and a much better air flow too now I am sure :D)
  15. I went on the Internet, and I found this: https://www.aventures-automobiles.fr/lotus-esprit-daventure-morvan/
  16. Yes, it's a V8 silencer. Maybe, that's strange. Are you sure your 90 SE was not a 2.0L one ?
  17. Indeed: dual entry and dual exit too. But doesn't it look like a standard V8 silencer? (rather than a "racing" one?) The 2.0 (GT3 and 2.0L market cars like Italy) has a LH exit, whereas the 2.2 has a RH exit (Why, I still wonder though ) As @sailorbob said this one is for a V8 engine though.
  18. Sold for $67,000 Ended Jan 7, 2022 7:32pm CET Bids 43 Views 19,662
  19. Never used or bought, but I have read about that in a Toyota diff workshop manual procedure so it must be a good idea. If I remember correctly it was to align it properly, not really wear related like it's sometimes done for the crankshaft bearings.
