  1. Another beautiful piece of engineering Manuel. Perfect remedy for Evora Blue ball shifter blues.
  2. Great work Manuel. More superb engineering. " Evora kit will need customers to cut a bit the internal side of the stock shifter cover (on the left side cover) ..." Assume that same applies to RHD cars? So this would be for all Evoras up to 2017?

From about 11:20 for the short version.
  4. Page 4, post #66 onward of the second LT thread I posted sounds like you.
  5. On one of the Forums someone did an analysis of available replacement bearings for the accessory drive and auxiliary SC bracket , but I can't find it now. ...Just found it: https://www.lotustalk.com/threads/my-evora-s-project.485472/page-5 Some early 2GR SC cars had issues with seizing of the ribbed idler pulley adjacent to the SC pulley - pic below. This may have been caused by misalignment of the bearing shaft and I wonder whether the belt dust on the bracket in your pic is related to this. I think this issue was resolved in later versions of the part. Some banter here re drive belt squeals- some of which is related to above: https://www.lotustalk.com/threads/the-dreaded-pulley-squeal-evoras.475383/
  6. At 9:49 in above video you can see a crack in the blue pivot ball (under the lever). The blue ball pivot is likely to fail soon with loss of any shifting. This requires a replacement of the complete shifter lever unit - the blue pivot ball is integral with the shift lever. He needs Lotus Part Number: A132F6364S - Lever with ball only. This part is supplied with the top black plastic pivot ball cover - which is being shredded in his vid.
  7. Toyota Avensis in the UK had the same ratios (long) with same FD pinion ratios as was supplied to Lotus, however the bell housing was relieved to relocate the starter motor by Lotus due rear engine application. This is why I suggested that OP should re-build, unless he can locate a used Lotus one, which will likely need a re-build.
  8. Lotus EA60 transmission (Aisin BG6) I would re-build the box. All Toyota (Aisin) parts except for 3,4,5,6 gears in Lotus Close ratio (Sport) gearset. Below for info: The faulty Lotus installed single CR 4/5 input gear in the Toyota EA60 was fixed in cars from mid 2012. The following may be useful in determining cars that are likely to be affected: Lotus changed 3,4,5,6 gears for their Close Ratio or Sports box from VIN CHxxx10452 onwards to Lotus part no. B132xxx and in mid 2012 changed the specific 4/5th input gear identified as problematic from part no. B132F0047F to B132F0160F, which is used in current production Evoras and Exige V6's. Change over to rectified Lotus parts was on mid MY12 cars. Sports Ratio (CR) Gearbox, from VIN CHxxx10452 onwards and Lotus inscribed Gear Box Serial no.GB1564 onwards. The Lotus Gearbox Serial number (GBxxxx) containing Lotus CR gears is easily identified as is etched by Lotus onto both the transmission casing and the bell housing. For re-build: Main parts needed - 4/5 Input gear A132F0160F 4 Output gear B132F0051F 5 Output gear B132F0053F Optional upgraded parts that were changed later (about 2016) to improve shifting - Shift fork-No.1 (mod) S/Ratio A132F0349J Plate-Interlock-modified (SR) A132F0220K Gate-Gearshift (SR) A132F0206F Note: CR, SR, S/Ratio, Sport, are Lotus Close Ratio gearset. Aftermarket improvement for longevity for tracked cars - Brass slipper pads for selector forks. The above No.1 shift fork is stronger and comes with brass slipper pads.
  9. SSC Evora harness bar proving very popular in the US. Available for 2+0 and 2+2 cars - different fixings supplied. Once mounts are fitted is easy to remove the bar when not needed.
  10. Did you replace the upper wishbone castor shim (washer) stack and any snubber washers as per the factory pre-set? (which will vary a little side to side) If not then that may account for the pressure at the front of the rear bush in your pic above. But I can't see the front bush area to assess what is going on.
  11. 60C at highway cruise is normal in moderate ambient temps, as is 70C after some idling.
  12. Looks great. Can you advise what lever throw you have set to - Shift and crossgate. This seems to be the full solution for Blue pivot ball failure on any factory 07>17 shifters, or for 04>07 cars that just want more precision and to be able to adjust the lever throw.
  13. SSC Australia do one. Designed for 2 up for rally. For info: harley@simplysportscars.com
  14. Check out the Dolomiti shifter. Fits all Toyota powered Elise and Exige models and is beautifully engineered.
