  1. I own a 2016 400 manual, that’s why I found it interesting, By the comments the engine is in a different state of tune, and that may be in part to the Different supercharger
  2. Yes this is an EMIRA review however he makes some interesting EVORA comments
  3. I’ve been in the states and Canada a month, on hols and the first lotus I have seen was last Friday on Victoria island BC White EVORA 410/GT any on here?
  4. https://www.litespeedracing.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxeyxBhC7ARIsAC7dS38XOjlacXJF1Q7BM-lYGsZtdi0ehfkz11Mk7WFR1XWCFH2MUuhiUNsaArYhEALw_wcB
  5. Who is the German manufacturer of the forged wheels that was advertised on the TLF a while back
  6. I thought that a a thread with links to aftermarket wheels for all the EVORA series was worth having. also discussion about what people have bought and your thoughts these are just some I found https://www.gregsraceparts.com/products/braid-performance-forged-wheels-for-lotus-evora https://forzaaa.com/products/forged-wheels-rims-19-20-inch-for-lotus-evora
  7. What EVORA do you have, I have a 400 and removed the rear seat padding, and it’s a bit noisier.
  8. Interesting discussion as I hoped, Yes there is a market placement difference and it has proved successful, with 95 Plus orders last year. and from those I have seen buying them its definitely a new audience. However there is a more analogue aspect to the EVORA I love as in "effect" its the last analogue LOTUS and its rare, the instruments are a start with, the 400 + dash as some one put it a nod to the Type 14 Elite, To me the EVORA is a classic sports car/GT but with out the Exotic car headaches. and the "WTF is that" factor
  9. I had my 400 serviced yesterday at SSC in Sydney, taking to the guys there seems a number of EVORA owners have decided they prefer the EVORA to The EMIRA. I am one as to be honest the EMIRA is a gorgeous car, but there is something generic and boring about the interior. I am not a fan of full digital dashes and I don't like the seats they dont grip as well and the electric movement is to slow as I have the seat all the way forward. I much prefer the traditional more analogue EVORA which to me is the end of an era.
  10. By reference to Jayemm lotus made 6117 EVORA's. I recon there more EMIRA's than EVORA's in existence.
  11. OK how many of you have had the comment. wana swap cars?
  12. From FB rich people problem https://fb.watch/r3EyzqI2tH/?
  13. I was parked in the NSW regional town of Boorowa. Taking down the screen shades to see guy oggling over the car. most impressed having not seen an EVORA he then proceeded to compare it to a Europa he'd driven years ago. Then filling up in Parkes. a guy at the next bowser said I saw new ones all covered in plastic, where I asked, Sydney on the back of a truck, I recognised yours by the wheel badges.
  14. There are few different types available, the origins and of all this SAAB ones from reading are best. The Book says extend the plunger 5 clicks but 400 was 7. l so keep a spare in the glove box
  15. I agree with you, the Evora is very underrated.
  16. Shame it's In the UK. I'm in AUSTRALIA you could borrow my 400.
  17. I wear polarised sunglasses for various optical problems. My Evora 400 side info screens are effectively blank when I wear my sunglasses LED side screen are blank. I have put up with this without wearing sunglasses and I finally decided to see if I can sort it. Turns out polarised film held at 45degrees or 90 degrees to the screen cancels out by 95% the blanking. I bought some film and after much mucking around with templates etc cut some to fit. I didn't bond them on however there is a little flex in the screen to allow the film to just tuck under and stay in place. Result magic The first picture is the polarised sheet held up to get the best orientation The second is the film stalled on the right but not on the left. I have also put some film in the central speedo ( very Fiddly Job)

  19. I am sure some one else has done this but I thought it worth a discussion. The three Digital displace are blank when wearing polarized sunglasses, I have today found that the polarized effect can be canceled by putting another polarized screen over the displays at 45 degrees.
  20. I do a physio sports exercise class early in the morning and I took the Evora as I go to coffee with with some other retired car guys, As I got out of the car, An elderly lady with very dark glasses and her guide dog stopped and looked(?) at the car for some time. one of the oddest experiences I have had with the car
  21. I have a feeling the next roadster will be a totally new electric something. The EMIRA Tub isn't as stiff as the EVORA so a roadster version will need another tub revision. LOTUS Focus at this point in time is the SUV and the small versions , but who knows as the world wakes up the EV travesty lets wait and see. Off topic, I see Geely have a announced a Joint partnership withe other manufacturers to produce ultra high efficient small engines for the auto industry
  22. Having been to factory as I am sure other's have, The EMIRA is a development of the 410 in particular, there are lots of differences Tub, Wheels, Supercharger and seats( which are the same frames as Ferrari use) and the updated interior which I actually don't like, with a focus on the mas market. and that "appears" to be a success. However what I took from this comparison is the EVORA is just that much more "alive" than the EMIRA. But I am sure there will be variants in the pipeline, Stripped out lighter manual seats and more HP , but I'll still have the EVORA
