  1. Ah! I thought with the rim size being the same that the tyre size would also be the same. Cheers Kieran.
  2. Looking at the head on skeleton line drawing there are two types of tyres, fat ones and skinny ones. I would guess the fat ones are the cup 2s and the skinny ones are the Good Years. Happy for someone to correct me if I'm wrong with that. The skinny tyres are sitting higher than the fat ones. I'm presuming this is the difference between Sport setup and Touring setup. Again, happy to be corrected if I'm wrong. If the skinny tyres are sitting higher in the drawing then the car will be closer to the ground. I would have thought the Sport setup would have fatter tyres and sit closer to the ground. Alternatively, if the suspension travel is shorter on the Sport causing the tyres to sit higher and the car to sit lower then I would have thought the fatter tyres would be higher and the skinny tyres lower. Confusing. Are the skinny tyres winter tyres? Why would the ride height be different?
  3. Change your name by deed pool to match the number plate. It's cheaper. What do you think @Bibs?
  4. Emira approach angle is 7.9 degrees according to the skeleton drawing.
  5. The Emira length is 4412 and the Evora length 4394m which is 18mm difference. I think the images must have been taken from a different angle and giving a different perspective and scale. The Evora approach angle was 11.5 degrees in earlier models becoming 10 degrees later. I don't know what the Emira approach angle is but wouldn't be surprised if it is similar.
  6. The Emira wheelbase is 2575 and the Evora wheelbase is 2575 so the picture overlay isn't accurate. If anything it might make your front overhang point more relevant.
  7. Looking at this skeleton drawing that was in the pictures thread the i4 (green colour) and v6 (tan colour) seem to be positioned in more or less the same space. The v6 has the supercharger sat on top. The extra space created by the moved bulkhead is probably due to thermal management as mentioned by @TomE and in other threads.
  8. Space needed for the turbo and pipework?
  9. On both occasions Lewis Hamilton was driving to avoid a collision. Max Verstappen's driving technique is crass and he is a danger to himself and everyone else on the track.
  10. Lucky that he still had the dashcam recording at the time he was notified of the "offence"
  11. Mercedes also need to win the constructors championship in Toto's mind. So that will strongly influence his decision and strategy.
  12. Breath, See, Stretch. The next will be Awaken. Then it will be released?
  13. On the See teaser with the pop up Lidar periscope, are we sure that it is at the front? The more I look at it the more I feel like it's at the back of the car.
  14. Active spoiler. Not your normal SUV shape. Lower? More like a saloon? Panamerica competitor?
  15. From what I recall seeing on the telly last night he seemed to be using enough force to test the flexibility, which is a bit of a risky thing to do on someone else's car when you don't know how it is constructed. When you hear it crack you turn around and walk away whilst whistling innocently. When Hamilton was showing the three children his car and he was explaining how strong the front wing was and said the boy could stand on it, the boy did....CRACK.... "No, not that bit" 😄
  16. Stretch? What is happening there? Active spoiler?
  17. Sao Paulo GP: Max Verstappen fined but escapes grid penalty for illegally touching Lewis Hamilton's car | F1 News (skysports.com) Skysports confirm
  18. @jimichangaHamilton's was fastest because he had a new engine... which is why he had the five place grid penalty. Verstappen fingers Hamilton's rear wing then Red Bull complain to the stewards about the wing. The Mercedes rear wing mechanism is broken and 0.2mm out of spec. Hamilton gets disqualified. Is this coincidental?
  19. My diesel Volvo has 155,000 miles on the clock. Electric probably does make sense in the long term. Does anybody want to give me an electric car? Nice size estate please with a bit of poke.
  20. I guess if you want a car that has a front storage space you end up with a car that has the profile of a Cayman / Boxster. Another car that just isn't pretty.
  21. From a previous A-pillar thread where double sided tape is used in the fix, I am guessing that it is a factory fit for the edges of plastic panels
