  2. https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/could-tesla-become-a-bidder-for-supercar-maker-mclaren-as-investors-call-time-on-losses/298991 Could Tesla become a bidder for supercar maker McLaren as investors ‘call time on losses’? Reports suggest McLaren’s biggest shareholder is fed up of pumping cash into car maker The Sunday Times suggest Chinese firms and Tesla have been approached Some £1.5bn has been stumped up by shareholders to keep firm afloat in just four years
  3. I was a bit disappointed about the supposed Porsche and McLaren dealer presence, no signs, no obvious staff to represent their respective dealership. The Morgan dealer had a more obvious 'stand'. Was thinking that the dealers would be a bit more like a motor show stand than just a random car park. Hendy Lotus seemed to have more signs/flag pole things that anyone else and Lotus jackets and better arranged. Was impressed how many cars they actually got inside but was pretty cramped when the crowds were in. If SWLC and Hendy Lotus were not present may not go to a future event.
  4. highlights what highlights.
  5. Bearman did better then I thought .. BBC comments on race include this.... after a soporific race that provided little encouragement for the hoping for an exciting season, the longest in F1 history. 😪
  6. Ian and Adam have posted a few pics on FB, here are some of mine.... Good to meet up with those present. Including an i4 Emira parked outside. Had not seem @MPx's Esprit before.
  7. Some aftermarket warranty policies expect a rate of £60-80 ph.
  8. Will try to get to the Exeter services shortly after 8am
  9. I noticed this the other day and thought what was our leader doing, the actual threads on the left of the page gets scrunched up so tends to sit over 2 lines rather than 1.
  10. I put a Jeep badge on my ride on lawn mower.
  11. Runaway I Pace. that's modern tech for you...........damned EV's. Police ram runaway electric car after brakes fail on M62 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-68500233 Jaguar Land Rover said the company was investigating as a matter of "urgency". A spokesman said: "A full review is underway to determine the cause of this incident, which is still yet to be established. "The safety of our clients and vehicles is JLR's highest priority."
  12. I have a spare already in stock, (don't keep in the car though...) that I have trimmed to fit as the original, as the ones you get need a bit of filing to enable them to be turned 90 degrees in the pedal box fitting. I found it easier than doing a normal brake pedal switch that I did on my elite many years ago, the problem was getting the right number of clicks to make the sensor happy. (Having filled a bit off.)
  13. Even I managed to change my sensor..... needed a bit of adjustment but been fine now for over a year. There are other threads about this. Common fault with the V6 cars,
  14. See that the first Emira i4 test drives are starting now, wonder if Hendy will have theirs present on Saturday.
  15. Think I read on here some months ago on another thread, not sure if this was for the first Eletre drives or for Emira, but some people booked there but when they tried to attend there was no one there. Think I would trust the dealer map more than their booking system.
  16. Back to the horse and cart, if only the horse did not need feeding at one end and clearing up at the other. Oh and the cart will need environmentally friend wooden rims ie no nasty rubber tyres. And need lane horse assist to stop the horses crashing into each other.
  17. may be just to justify the costs of having an exchequer and a whole department of civil servants to support him (her..)
  18. Noticed today, on the Lotus dealer map, that Christopher Neil / Oakmere / Lotus Cheshire are no longer dealers - just service agents. I had heard about this a couple of months ago. Suppose they were not keen on Lotus EV's?
  19. SMMT UK new car registrations published yesterday, for Jan and Feb a total of 87. Last year same period 119.
  20. Agree, anyone inside will have to had instructions of where the proper doorway is and an arrival time (may even be Friday), I imagine that inside will be packed. And then getting out when you want could also be a problem. @mayevora have you got any lessons Friday pm, as you could drive in and around the car parks....Just thinking I may have to exercise a car Friday afternoon.
  21. think this is where I got confused, they were accepting cars for being in the show, but not necessarily indoors. Some indoor cars are going in on Friday afternoon - this appears to be the dealers etc. They put a number of the show accepted cars on the FB page, but have not seen any Lotus' mentioned - apart from the Hendy indoor stand. If I had seen Ian's car or Mike's car would have thought what was going on. Have just had a message from them suggesting I arrive around 9 and they will park me with SWLC, presumably in an effort to get as many GT430 in the same place? Think as Mike says this is their first event and hopefully things will be clearer for future events. I was in the Matford centre last week so noticed the large roller door for the first time, been there loads of time but not noticed it - was wondering how they were going to get so many cars in. Just had another message:::: We can only fit 70 cars indoors, we could of filled it many times over. There will be around 20 Lotus all parked together outside so it should look like a really nice line up
  22. My ticket says General admission/passenger. Which is why I started asking him how they were going to get the various marques parked together. See your show car ticket doesn't even say the make. For the cars and cuppas at Greendale - their ticket/booking is for a particular car & registration! Oh well will see what happens.
