Certainly won't get one now as there is no local dealer, it will be more difficult for other local specialists to work on Emira due to the Lotus computer/software requirements. Did speak to a dealer and one of them prefers the feel of Evora over Emira anyway. I'd be more likely to sell my Evora and go back to a small underpowered Jeep. - it would also be easier to get out of.

Bought it at a Club Lotus event decades ago from Derek Dean (a well known Lotus specialist..) , and had it sprayed. Sold the old one to a guy who had an eclat racing car. Think it looks more finished with this version.

Had 2 Eclat S2s, the 1 in the pic was not a true Riviera model but had the latest bonnet and a sunroof. I later added a Riviera boot lid. . The other eclat s2 had the same as the the Elite S2 ie the normal bonnet...

It always so sad to see what a state these cars can get in, the wedge elite is such an amazing looking car, and the elite 501 was my first Lotus. Can't imagine how much one could spend getting them back on the road.

Parts list suggests that the 89 on bonnet with centre louvres was not fitted to base versions. Advert does not say SE - car has smaller spoiler. Hope it gets back on the road ok. Although in the pic at London Lotus centre showroom opening around 1989 the white excel is a base (also smaller wing) but has the same bonnet as my 1990 SE. Think they fitted what was around. I have 3 cars with them, found them ok, but had no reason to claim etc. Have had a couple of policies with Lancaster, they were ok, but were a administrative pain at renewal. Used to have agreed value with the older Lotus' I had, the Club Lotus process to get a valuation used to be easy, but have not done this for years.

yep but how many times does this sort of thing happen. As @C8RKH says the system seems to be weak and feeble, send some lawyers to prison. Just like all the cases where those from foreign countries who commit even the small crimes should be just sent packing never to return
