I had my evora s for around a year and a half, i then got a newer more powerful one, which I will keep for longer. . In the past when I had 4 excels one after the other, i had them for around 1.5 to 2 years each, but had the last one for at least 10 years as I could not get a newer one! I would say that service history/condition is more important.

Sent them an email this morning so will be interesting to see what the reply says.

Used the previous evora during the winter time for the odd local trip etc, will try and use the gt430 in the same way - even the odd trip to the diy shops. As I live in Devon we only have serious snow every few years and not too much road salt etc. So on those few days will stay at home or use the wife's RR That sounds a lot better, would have to bypass the wife for this though.... I see that MGR is base in Barnsley, may be i will contact them next week. I wonder if they could ship what is required to south west lotus centre and see if they could fit. Could then be slipped in alongside its next service and first MOT.

I have found the seats more comfortable than expected, the S seemed to have an bar across under the seat that I could feel when sitting in a certain position, so I had to slide down an inch or so. I see there is mention in the thread about adjusting the suspension from inside the car,(I had a read thru the other thread) .- sounds a bit pricey if its £7.5k ish.? Although it would be interesting to change settings easily.

Just been thru Marsh Barton , and I see there is a big new Ferrari dealership being built, as apparently the old one was not big enough..Being built on the old Volvo site - after Volvo moved into the ex Land Rover site... And also found out that Maserati is going.

I had a similar experience and SWLC have made some changes, the spec from the factory for the gt430 is much stiffer set up than the gt410, they have adjusted by 2 clicks softer all round (on both dials per corner) and it is still pretty hard, and does not seem much different from before. May have to adjust by a few more clicks when the weather gets better. It is a lot stiffer than my evora s, which was better than my mgzs180 v6 which have owned for over 16 years.

My neighbour has an early TD5 and has some problems with the fuel system, pump,pipes and injectors. Has caused a number of failures when out and about. He cut a hole in the rear bed to get at the fuel pump to save loads of work. Mind you his has not done many miles since 2006, and I would have thought it might need a proper service by now.

I am always amused when watching a sherlock holmes episode, when they refer to the afternoon and evenings postal deliveries, i am sure sometimes these days they miss out a delivery day when they feel like it.

I had to fit bullet connectors at either end when fitting the light to the gte wing, having at first had the same problem as you had, in particular the connection end was the main problem.

But he did not really like the evora, said it was ok for a track day but not for every day. . not at lot of details about the cars more an entertainment. No I don't think so. I re-scanned and sent photos for 1983, 1984, 1987, 1989 and 1995 (elise launch) to Andy G at lotus cars. The shows alternated between the NEC and Earls Court and I did not go to the NEC very often. Just looked on google the 1994 show was at the NEC.

The hendy map on their web site navigates to the honda dealership. The hendy MG dealer is also on the same estate less than a mile away. Most car manufacturers have representation on the estate, but no longer aston/RR/Bentley. We even have a Ferrari, Maserati and Porsche dealers, had fun the other day driving past with my exhaust button active, made someone look round in the Ferrari dealer.

I had been in contact with them a few weeks ago and they indicated Q1, when driving through the exeter industrial estate (matford aka marsh barton) i drive past to see if there is any signs of development. I believe it will be at the honda dealership not the hendy mg/used car supermarket.

Hendy Honda in Southampton are going to do Lotus alongside Honda. So I assume Snows service centre in Plymouth will also go.

Was it Andy at lotus who sent you the photos, I also sent him images from the other motorshows I had been to. As a customer of London Lotus Centre I got a 'pass' onto the stands at a number of the shows.

But will he beat Bottas, should be interesting to see (Would not have thought so). Must be a chance for Red Bull to win one of the last 2 races.

I just assume that there are 2 in olive green in the UK as there are only a handful of this model registered in the UK. On the test drive I was taking it easy and over roads I did not know, When I started on my local roads I felt it did not drive as well as my previous evora S. Now that the car has had a full alignment it feels much better, plus changing the tyres.

Congrats on this car, it is probably the most special version of the evora to date. I was a bit disappointed with mine for a while until I had a full alignment and changed the tyres. Mine is the other one in olive green.

This was at one the motorshows i think it was 1995.

Here are my photos taken at Earl's Court that day of the excel and esprit. I also took many of the Elan photos and passed them onto Andy at Lotus as he approached me as I had a number of photos on my old website, going back to 1984.

Presumably offers in excess of the new list price, to get one early. But would you really want to buy from anyone that was not a lotus dealer.
