  1. “I wasn’t going fast, if I was there would be more damage." - If he wasn't going fast he should have been able stop before he hit the building. If his reactions are that slow he shouldn't be on the road.

    Malaysian GP

Doh! "Kimi Raikkonen will start Sunday's Malaysian GP from 10th place on the grid after he was penalised for impeding another driver." http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/8590471/Raikkonen-penalised-for-impeding-Rosberg
  3. I don't mind the MJK Esprit. It's not a wild design, but I don't think that's a bad thing. The Esprit has always been a fairly straight forward and recognizable design and I think that's why it still looks great today over it's different iterations. I think it would be a mistake for Lotus to aim for cars like the MP4-12C or the F458. I think they would be better suited going after the 911 market with an Esprit model. One with similar performance and an interior you can take the wife/gf out in without having to explain why it looks like it isn't finished. The 911 has succeeded without going over top in it's design, and everyone instantly recognizes the car and knows who makes it (something you'll rarely find in the with regards to Lotus in the US). If they want to compete with cars like the 458 I think they'd need a new model, one that can have its own design philosophy. It's frustrating that DRB have been so silent on the future of Lotus. I truly hope they're actually working out how to secure Lotus's future as a company and will come out with their plans soon, and those plans better involve bringing more cars to the US damnit.

  5. Driving lesson from Kimi, perhaps this explains his results in the WRC

  7. Those headlights on the 4C have to go, what on earth were they thinking? The grill isn't nearly as intricate and interesting as it was on the matte red concept, how disappointing.
  8. I don't really like the front end on that Ferrari, looks like some cheap body kit stuck to the front of a 458. I'd much rather have an F40 over this, it might be slower, but I think the F40 would be a much more raw experience and looks better. And something I noticed in the video, it looks dirty, they could have washed the car first before doing all their slow-mo video over it.
  9. Looks like a lot of fun to throw about. Not a fan of that spoiler on the back end, especially the way it goes into the taillights. Or that ghastly yellow seat belt.
  10. Times from today. Lotus yet again in the top three. 11. Love your 3 monitor setup. I just have one and it's just not enough, especially for racing.
  12. CNN just did their own test of Tesla's Supercharger system driving from DC to Boston and had no problems. Broder's article is a nice example of what happens when an idiot drives the car. http://money.cnn.com/2013/02/15/autos/tesla-model-s/
  13. Here's the picture without all the web page nonsense.
  14. Welcome Thomas! You should post some pictures, that will make it easy for people to help you identify the car (and we'll get to see it ) I picked up the workshop manual for mine on ebay, but you'll need a bit of luck to catch one.
  15. Never get between a man and his chips (or his wallet)! Must have looked like a scene from a Jackie Chan movie.
  16. Helicopter crash while filming Top Gear Korea
  17. I felt like they should have done the FT-86 review on the street. In fact I'd like to see most of the reviews taken off the runway and onto some proper driving roads. Otherwise I enjoyed it, but I've enjoyed the rest of the series too, guess I'm not grumpy enough And Amy Macdonald
  18. I won't deny that there's plenty of people that feel that way, but I wouldn't say they're the majority. There's a reason why they were put on the news don't forget. I bet most people that say that are just puffing their own feathers and wouldn't do a damn thing if the government was actually out to get them. Most own guns because they like to shoot and/or want them to protect their family from criminals. I don't think most people have much faith in their politicians though, and not just this country. I think a big part of that in the US is we usually have two people to pick from, both bowing to whomever is giving them the most money. Career politicians main goal is to stay in power, they don't really care about what the people think unless it means it will get them elected another term. Voting in the US has an effect on other countries of course, but it isn't like the US is unaffected by other countries. The EU has plenty of impact on the US for instance. EU laws are responsible for the hideous front engine cars we have to look at these days
  19. Interesting article on an Esprit based race car. Can't wait to see what this looks like when it's fixed up. http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/02/krbs-esprit-gets-some-serious-firepower/
  20. Very cool. Description from wikipedia of the end Cameraman standing on the side of the track at 45s!
  21. I missed the part where I said anything like that, all I did was quote the bill of rights. I get no choice in who you or anybody else elects either.
  22. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
  23. Really enjoyed that. What a difference in how the F1 races are done compared to today, I always like seeing footage like that. Think I'll be keeping stum on how Lotus may have got its name.
