Had my first good day of work on the Esprit today - lots sorted out. Not much cleaning though, due to awful weather. Hope it brightens up in a few hours!

Hi Eddie Did mine recently, so if it's any use... Remove electrics cover. Unbolt floor and move it aft taking note of any electrical connections you may need to disturb. Remove tank hose connections (best to do the bottom one after lifting the tank though). Access to the 3 securing nuts is from above, not below, to the right of the tank - quite tight, I kept a magnet handy - very useful if you drop a nut or washer! Release tank gently, disconnect 2 spade connectors (one earth, one low coolant sensor) from the lower part of the tank, release bottom hose. Job done! Refitting is a reverse of removal, yadda yadda. Have fun

Wouldn't perchance be bright yellow, would it? EDIT: yes, one I looked at on the Herts/Bucks border 6 months ago, The owner seemed to have trouble shifting it. It drove quite well, but the interior was pretty ropey and the bumpers didn't fit too well. Electric windows were awful! Also, apparently it blew an engine at approx 52000 and the clock was zeroed when it was repaired. Owner told me it came out of the factory white, and was resprayed about 8 years ago. So yes - probably indicated 76K (was around 75K when I checked it out), but over 125K by the PO's admission. Although it seemed mechanically sound, I thought it needed a bit too much cosmetically. And he did tell porkies (in the ad) about the mileage, and the wing was naff in my opinion. I see it's up for

No complaints from me - we had a great time, and it was nice to be able to put faces to names!

Core temperature was way too low all the way home. Not the Esprit. Me. Daughter remains frozen to seat. I'll scrape her off after a cuppa.

I was there with my daughter. It was f-f-f cold. Agreed, truck racing was great fun, especially in the whiteout! Hands frozen to the camera. Despite the apparently poor turnout, I saw more Esprits today than I've seen in the last 10 years.

Surely you take the cash and the car, repair it, put the balance in your pocket, and continue to enjoy the nirvana of Esprit ownership?? Or have I missed something? And by 'disposed of', they mean it'll turn up nice and 'straight' on eBay in a few weeks, oi reckons.
