What was the weather like? If it was hot the problem could have been "red hose syndrome", assuming the red plastic hose connecting the master & slave cylinders hasn't been replaced with a SS braided one. -

Lotus stopped making chassis for older models which is where Spyder originated from. Whan your Elan or Europa non galvanised chassis had rusted to dust you either scraped it or paid Spyder a visit.

Same here, I gave up mine (five Lotus in total) when I became too old to crawl around underneath it & there's no local specialist to take it to. It was a fabulous 23 years of fun while it lasted but it was time to move on.

I did it on my S3, you'll need to drill a hole in order to move the roll pin that cancels the indicator.

Now investor patience seems to have run out.
