Deroure notes in section 18.03 says R 1234YF introduced on EU cars from vin GH 21289 refer to service builtin 2016/21 Im sure they must do a non oem verion of the later type. You could always get yours refurbished. I dont know if its an option but could you run a smaller belt with the ac compresor removed while you to get yours rebuilt? Gav

If you have a look on the other lotus forum techwiki you can find the part numbers for the toyota and other reference numbers i found when my na evora compressor seized years ago.

Ive had an aircon pump sieze and normally the ecu detects it and disengages the ac clutch. I reset the code and all you heard was a momentary squeak and it disengaged the compressor again. I would be suprised if it was that as the ac clutch would have to be seized aswell. How old is your car? If the pump has gone and you ha e to pay for it, dont get it from lotus!

If it is the fuel pump then dont pay lotus prices, you can get a pump for less than £100 to fit if your ok with tools. I replaced mine as it failed. Probably failed as the GTE's were left for years so got condensation in the tank. A couple of times mine cut out and the engine stopped, re-started again after a couple of minutes. It did this twice then completely failed. Gav

One of my evoras only had one key so a second one was supplied by the dealer and programmed by me at home.. It was many years back so cant remember the exact procedure but I'm sure it involved turning the key on and of numerous times corresponding to the pin number. You can get the pin from lotus, mine was supplied foc via the dealer as they had lost the 2nd key, I don't know if they would normally supply or charge for it? Gav

All IPS cars have a gearbox oil cooler as Julian points out.

From what ive read 390 is fine, 430 also works but they say you may not get the full ammount all the time. You can also fit a 400 undertray to help with engine bay cooling. Gav

Ive always used Oakmere / Chris Neils. There was a 'miss understanding' last year so it disnt get the full 4 year service so will get it done this year. Best start saving 😂

To be honest the prices dont look that much cheaper than what Ive been paying at a dealer, may be 10% daving at best. The killer is the 4 year service, now nearly double! I can only presume its due to the belt change, but another £450?

I drove a 430, the ride was harsher and the interior wasnt that of a 120k car to me. Ive only tracked mine once, so am more than happy with the comfy sofa ride and finish. It just never ceases to make me take a second look, whether its at the petrol station or at home in the garage. Nothing this side of 100k looks as good to me. Several owners moved onto 430s and then other vehicles. Ive had the odd thought of changing but nothing serious, now its more thoughts of somthing else to complement it. But between my van, my cooper s cab and the lotus i dont have the room 😂. And yes, if i ever sold it i know i would regret it! God they look good!

Mine and its lhd twin, lotusleftlotusright lhd and the black rhd newcastle car are the only 2+2s. The fact i wanted a rhd 2+2 only gave me choice of all black or mine. Ive never kept a car this long before, still love it!

Ive not heard of any problems but the pipe comes off the pump on the top of the tank. If you pull the rear seat and unbolt the plate in the seat base panel you can get to it reasonably easily to check.

The gte's came with genuine bigger paddles, they do block part of the displays though. Gav
