Are they now selling Sport 350 exhaust to the owners of Sport/Cup 380, Sport 410, Cup 430 for additional £2,200? Brilliant move :zorro::zorro::zorro:

This is genius! My stock 350 Sport system is about to come off to be replaced with a 2bular track system. If anyone wants the stock system, give me a shout!

Will give you 1.9k for it 😂

seriously though , would love to hear your feedback on the 2bular once it’s fitted.

For you @Edinburgh 111s, I'd let it go for £1.8k... 😂

The 2bular track silencer (non-valve) is on already.  It fitted perfectly and looks great.  Sound is very nice indeed.  Slightly deeper than standard I would say, not louder.  Doesn't drone at all.  Will be interested to see what it's like once the full system is on, but that won't be for a little while because (a) I need to figure out how to get it fitted with or without remap (see separate thread on this), and (b) the manifolds and downpipe are off to Zircotec for some lovely white coating...

Just browsing the KT site (as you do..) and found KT have just released a quiet exhaust! Thought it may be of interest to folks as it seems to have testing/measurement, available in days vs months, and also has a small weight saving ;)

The initial screen grab said it would be suitable for most 105db days, perhaps they were playing it safe with the wording then, as it looks like it will be fine and very quiet from the KT site!

Dave, could you post a few videos up when you get yours on? Any idea on what the wait is going to be for yours?

Yep, this is the text from the email that Hoffman’s sent out:

Please see below typical results achieved during test.

mail?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgallery.mailchimp

Please Note:

The track exhaust should in most cases be suitable to use on UK circuits which have a static noise regulation of 105 dB(A) and a dynamic noise regulation of 92 dB(A).

Silencer dB(A) levels can also vary depending on how they are used and bed in from new.

I always look to Castle Combe and Donington as two benchmarks. CC is 110db static and 87db drive by. Donny is 98db drive by... so all looks pretty good for the Lotus exhaust it would seem :)

Shame they retained the pig snout!

So, has anyone tested this Lotus track exhaust ?

Reference is A138S0100S, legend 1b on attached picture (1a is stock exhaust).
Price seems to be around £1800.

Would be nice to have a video such as the one @JayEmm did here, comparing this track exhaust to the stock / titanium ones.
In addition to being track friendly, we would then be able to know how much it is enjoyable on the road compared to the 2 other exhausts.
In other words, if it is fun enough to keep it mounted definitely.
Or if we should swap the exhaust only when needed, so only for trackdays with drastic noise limitations. Don't know though how much difficult it is to swap exhaust on an Exige (in his own garage, or even on the pitlane ?!!)

Many thanks !

Is the "official" Lotus Track Exhaust still available (whether from Hoffmans or anyone else)?

https://mailchi.mp/80360bea9100/lotus-track-exhaust?e=ecd32a0ebd

Is it the same as the products offered by Seriously Lotus and Komotec:

https://www.seriouslylotus.com/lotus-quiet-track-silencer-400-series-cars

https://www.komo-tec.com/en/lotus-exige/mk3-toyota-v6350380/exhaust/642/lotus-track-exhaust-v6-quiet?c=884

What are people's experiences of this exhaust as compared to the 2Bular offering:

https://www.2bular.co.uk/exige-380/qp-track-system

I am looking to purchase an Exige 430/410 for UK trackday use, so understand I will need to purchase one of these products, and would appreciate whatever advice anyone is happy to offer!

I really wanted to read the answer to @huage-f1query above.

What option did you end up going with mate?

nobody has tested the silent lotus exhaust?

I've managed to get hold a Lotus silent exhaust from Komo-tec after some NI number requirement hassle😄

Well, pending the delivery anyway. I hope to make a decent write up in differences between the Exige 430 oem exhaust and the lotus silent exhaust, with dB differences on fitment vs after its bedded in

Should be arriving 31st May/1st June if all goes to plan🤞

I did all this research last year for my Cup430.

Went for the Tubular Quiet system with rear cans.

Then simple swap out of back box when not tracking it
