Thanks Barry, so grind one layer of glass away to remove the old part and then lay over the new fabricated part?  I’ve never tried fibreglass repairs.  Well......I did once when I crashed my bike at Cadwell...........fairing came off in the collecting area so maybe I need to practice 😂

Yes - just make sure the rust and rubbish is all gone - use wood or cardboard to create a backing to glass onto - and use the flap pad to grind it into shape after.

Only here once

I covered the jig with self adhesive foil used for protecting the covers of books (in dutch boeklon / kaftfolie). It is cheap and more important the epoxy doesn't adhere to it.

If you need more pictures just let me know.

I went down to Serck Motorsport in Hayes yesterday. They are doing my rad with a 3 core and fitting some Spal fans.

very impressed and I got a pretty good deal so Im happy.

Just gotta repair the tray now. perfect timing for Freek to post up those pics.

Oh and a whole load of Stainless nuts and bolts turned up in the post today.

Thanks

It's weird, on the Owner's manual of my Lotus Esprit V8, in the capacities section (page 103) it says :

Cooling System    - 4 cylinder  : 24 liters

                                -  V8              : 15 liters

This is crazy !!! That's why V8 cars overheat !! I guess the 4 cylinder cars have the charge cooler system, but still...

I would expect that the heater circuit contains a reasonable amount.
