It was seen on the back of a recovery truck about the time this programme would have been filmed. I don't think he's had it long. But a long term Esprit fan obviously, and knows Paul Matty, my old local Lotus specialist.

Not on the register under that reg. It could be chassis 980 though, white/black. Did it have comps or BBS?

Was on Sky TV documentaries National Geographic channel or if you don't have Sky its also on Now TV where you can just pay for the day/week etc. You can stream it too from your computer (online Now TV) but not your Nokia!!

Don't knock the ye olde worlde Nokia 6310. They'll be the only mobile phones working in time to come the way things are going. Mine used to last a week of business use, rather than 8 hours like now.

I meant a 3310. A 6310 has Bluetooth. I thought I was Jack The Biscuit when I had a company one of those.

The lithium polymer battery lasted eons.

6310? Best phone ever made. I had the long-life battery on mine, 430 hours on standby, I only charged it up once a month instead once a day.

The previous mobile phone I had looked like something John Wayne’s radio operator used when he hit the beach at Iwo Jima, it weighed as much as a house brick, and the battery lasted about 5 minutes.

Interesting that the Govt MOT checker says it was a white Esprit first registered in March 1994 and has yet to have it's first MOT!

It was an S4 I think modded to look like a V8 with a additional sparkly metallic paint job.

Back on topic, just watched the Esprit episode. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but that dash is amazing. I need one for my TE!

Anyone know the company in Bridgend that they used? Couldn't see anything in the (very small) credits.

I agree, the dash was excellent. I wonder how they converted the rotary feed from the gearbox to an electronic signal for mph? Maybe they used gps?
