Nice, congratulations on the Elise!

Don't rely on anything really from the MOT. Pop in into a specialist (somewhere like Back On Track in Guildford) for a once over and Jez will let you know the condition and any work (urgent or nice to be done) that's required :)

Looks good. Glad you got what you were after.

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

Thanks! I was thinking about giving Lakeside Engineering a call as they're my local I believe. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Tim a decent guy at Lakeside. Personally, I would fit your own seat covers before the service - I do this even with a main dealer. I have lost count of scuffs on a Lotus due to poor protection. I use waterproof generic covers bought via FleaBay.

A LF1 Exige recently needed new cill trim due to clumsy workshop behaviour from an agent you would think would know better. I cover mine up before any workshop gets the car.

That's interesting not really something I considered before. Would you also do this with other cars, haven't heard of this before but I guess it makes sense if you want to keep the seats in the best possible condition.

They've been around a long time, Tim knows the small platform cars really well

Thanks! Do you know every single lotus specialist 🤣

Well....work boots and a Lotus are not happy bedfellows. Due to tight egress/access, trim can take a battering. Likewise a McLaren or other 'silly' cars.

Any car with classy trim and/or wide seat bolsters, I pre-fit covers. What harm can it do?
