Many, many Lotus cars

You forgot the JPS F1s and many others on the track 😎.

When did you come over? We were there on Sunday, poor weather, still 4 Lotus in the classic parking lot.

My mate took a few pictures:

 

We saw one unfortunate incident, the Evora GTE came up the Raidillon with flames around the exhaust, leading his class. It quickly spread to the engine bay and he had to pull over at Les Combes. Lot of smoke but little visible damage and luckily he got out quickly and unharmed.

The JPS F1s were very impressive, by that time the track had dried up somewhat and they were clearly not holding back much.

We were there Friday and Saturday and fortunately missed most of the rain. We went to the 'Ring on Sunday, back home yesterday.

I had to work on Saturday (tech support for a charity classic car and GT run, so not too bad). Would have been nice to meet up otherwise.

Historic racing weekend with the highlight being a 6 hour endurance race.

I think it is one of the best events on the motorsport calendar, assuming not much has changed since I was there last. Access all areas, including the pits, for all days without busting the bank (was 30 euros when I was there if I remember correctly) and not too crowded unlike F1 for example. I am very envious. 🙂

Plus the cars are cool too.

Exactly that and the historic F1 cars (we viewed from the pit wall) sounded just amazing, as did the GT40's which dominated the six hours.

I was standing next to @Bibs we had our heads through the gaps in the fencing ready to take some  pictures, what we wasn't expecting was for the F1 cars to literally drive past about 2ft away. I properly shit myself and nearly dropped my phone. Twas epic though and f&5king loud 😀

They have stuck up their prices for this year!! 35 whole euros now!!!!! 

Best weekends racing been to in years. Saw @Bibs at Calais both ways but not to chat sadly.
