How are you finding the rear lights? Did you option the reflectors?

I am also currently looking into changing my seats. What seats do you have currently and are you having to do any modifications or custom made seat frame to get the seats you want to fit?

Hi Phil, 

I really like the rear light. My car is a 2018 and lights were plug and play so to speak. I went with reflectors.. 
with regards to the seats I have sparco . 
the new Tillett seat come with new brackets that fit on to existing seat runners.

This thread has become quite busy recently. I'm very pleased to join in, now with an appropriate Lotus!

Not the smoothest road to get hold of it, and I've learnt a lot.  Despite it unquestionably being a GT410 Sport, it is registered by the DVLA and on the V5(C) as a Sport 410. Hence also by many "carchecking" sources. To me, even more concerning was that the paperwork from the selling Main Agent - far away from me - said that too.

Apparently they could not change it and I had to buy the car as a Sport 410 - no option!  Lotus Cars was no help - a shared Type Approval matter. The dealer's plea to them in surprisingly strong terms asking for some confirmation of its true version via the chassis number brought an entirely uncaring response. I won't elaborate on that here but it surprised me given that the cars status was Lotus Approved - important to me. That includes a warranty statement of a Vehicle Identity Check! 

My mind was only put at ease by learning via Bibs - many thanks - that the Certificate Of Provenance will define it correctly! Stated very firmly by the responsible person.

More important now though is that the car seems marvellous - with a new Handbook expected tomorrow!  And its Liquid Yellow colouring suits it!

Phil, thank you for the early welcome.  After only a couple of short drives, and on roads where i can't try its full potential, I find it a considerable step up!  I''m awaiting a Handbook to set up various things and get to know it properly. I will report!

Hi, just thought i would share a couple of picture of my new Tillett B10 Sit.

Only been a a small drive out with them in very comfortable. Sitting a lot lower than my old sparco’s

Looking good. Did you use your Sparco runners or had to custom make new ones for the seats?

Use the Sparco runners. Having some new seat bracket made when i come back from Spa to take up the gap between seats and bracket. Bracket are for exige.

Can I ask where the seats were bought from and customised and who installed the seats please?

I got the seat directly from Tillett. I live in kent and their factory is in Sittingbourne. Went to factory tried all their seat out in showroom . There can pretty much do any customisation you would like with regards to the cushions and seatback colours. 

Fitted seat myself about 1 hour to get old ones out take off runners

about 1 hour to get new ones in. Had a little playing around with the spacer. Once new seat brackets made will bolt straight in

I picked up my GT410 sport in July 2022, I am still finding any excuse to take it out, and go to local meets at least weekly... what a great car!!

After my mid-April post, circumstances have prevented it sooner but an hour ago I completed my first meaningful drive in my 2019 GT410 Sport (two seater, Cup 2’s). Right roads, right weather, little traffic.

I’m still smiling as I write.

I loved my NA and enjoyed my S, but this was properly different. Any worries about switching from four years with an Elise Cup 250 now extinguished; great in its own way but my entry and exit no longer carried quite the graceful flourish that such a car deserves. And I really felt it was Evora time again, and in the version that I wanted, with cross country potential.

I accepted concerns about it maybe feeling big and bulky for most decent roads, lacking the Elises immediacy, and generally being the Lotus-for-oldies.  But no - I was wrong! Entirely!

I’ve read all the positives written here by many and I’ve had test drives - in constraining circumstances - of a Sport 410 and a GT410 some years ago. So I didn’t expect any actual disappointment. Neither though did I expect such stimulating enjoyment, the feeling of lightness, the  eagerness, the not-too-big-at-all-ness, the soundscape.

A powerful tonic!  Lotus-ness undiluted - for the drivers indeed!

Hi all, I'm hoping to join the club very shortly - I've owned an S1 Elise for nearly 16 years and heavily modified it in that time (~215bhp K series on throttle bodies, close ratio gearbox, Randy spec 46mm Nitrons, rose jointed wishbones, uprated ARB, quick ratio steering rack, ali belled brake discs, probax motorsports seats sourced directly from Lotus etc etc etc).  It's been a blast but its now time to move on - with two young boys I really need the 2+2 and, as fantastic as the Elise is for a Sunday morning blast or a track day, I don't get much time for either of these.  I now tend to get fewer, longer distance, trips (eg Wales for a weekend) and the Elise is rather hard work on the motorway...

Anyway, I normally lurk around SELOC but I know there are more Evora owners on here, so I thought I would say "hi".  I've currently got my eye on both the red car on with BAM specialist cars (https://www.bamspecialistcars.co.uk/used-lotus-evora-clay-cross-derbyshire-5140503) and the Essex blue one that went up yesterday with Caffyns (https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202306068207835?advertising-location=at_cars&atmobcid=soc5&fromsra&include-delivery-option=on&make=Lotus&model=Evora&sort=most-recent).  I feel the pricing on both of them is a little ambitious, but I would welcome other owners' views on this.  Also, although I do really like Essex Blue, I'm a little concerned by the mileage of the blue car - 30k seems quite high and I don't really have a feel for how well these cars wear their mileage.  From the video they have sent me it seems to be in decent shape but, again, I'd appreciate views any other owners have.  I'm pretty flexible on colours, other than not wanting a car in black, white, silver or grey and, ideally, it would have the carbon rear diffuser.   

Once I do find a car, I've got a few plans...  To start, the wheels will need to go silver (if they are not already) - I'm just not a fan of black wheels.  I also want to partially paint the rear tailgate (in the same style as the 'Spy Who Loved Me' Evora) and also do the the number plate cut out above the diffuser in carbon (like the GT430 and the US GTs) - I just think that will make the back end look a little more cohesive.  Initially I will probably see what results I can get with carbon effect vinyl.  However, I suspect I will ultimately look to see if I can get it done in the real thing and may, at the same time, look to see if I can get the sail panel skinned to match (as best as possible) the roof and rear lid.  I'm also quite keen on the GT430 cat scratches, so will probably look to get those added too.  

Longer term, I will probably look to add some more power and I'd be very tempted by some Ohlins TTXs.

Re- pricing i bought my Essex blue GT410 Sport in the last 8 months and from what i paid, pricing has only ever gone up when i have been checking the market.

Re price, it is difficult to know what people are actually paying - I've been keeping an eye on the market and I agree that it looks like the price has moved upwards from its lowest point 18-24 months ago.  However, very few cars seem to sell quickly (unless priced low) and most seem to end up getting knocked down before they do go.  Also, what people pay vs the sticker price is the $64k question!

@will_warne by the time you’ve added real carbon, more power, cat scratches and Ohlins wouldn’t you be near GT430 money?

Almost certainly, but I need it to be 2+2 and I understand there is only one manual 2+2 GT430 in the UK, and the 2+0 to 2+2 conversion isn't really a viable option....
