Price increase

I’m in same boat as many.

price increase mail received 15th, sent cancellation email 15th.

no acknowledgment by 22nd, so called to be told they had no email.

fwd my email to a known contact in Lotus, who then sent it to customer care… then my original email was found.

14 days from 22nd should see my deposit returned.

 

I am deeply disappointed in the whole Emira thing. I placed deposit on 7th July 2021 for i4. The whole thing is a mess.

Windles video clearly said, those with deposits would not pay more. Than they announce all cars after 1st June are increased… ergo all i4 increased.

Sorry Emira, I’m done (for now at least).

You know, I hadn't thought about that.  They never asked me once why I wasn't planning to part with £85,000 any more.  How awful is that?  Again though, the person I spoke to had zero understanding of what the process was and then I was only dealt with by email (refund now on the way).  Had I rang Jamie at B&C to cancel I'm 100% sure he would have done his best to at least listen to my issues and then see if there was anything he could do.  Lotus don't seem to care about retaining business which is going to hurt them, if it isn't already.  The only job of the first sale is to get the next one and they're failing to even start that off.  Moronic.

My advice is to buy used stock from current dealers and keep them going.

Moving away from the dealership model to direct purchase from the factory has been nothing short of a disaster for Lotus. If you are going to make such fundamental shift in sales you have to ensure that the process is spot on.

Alas, they may not care that much. Yes, they should care.

Lotus will sell all the Emiras it ever wishes to make.

However, some damage has been done and the idea was to promote Lotus 2.0 as a proper rival to the established car companies and this, at best, is still a work in progress.

Sales numbers will tell the real story, predictions about sales numbers are about as useful as a bull in a china shop and just as likely to end in disaster.

Lotus needs to sort out its new model or get backing the dealers pretty quick. Those coming from the German cars will rightly be fickle and sensitive to such things.

Looks like the price has risen slightly again.

Pretty sure it had risen (for my spec) from £80,500 ish, to £86,500 ish. (on the road), now, in the configurator, the same spec resolves to £87,145

Actually, i might have that wrong ...

 

Yeah, is now £86,905, so up just a little bit.

 

Looks like the first Road tax has increased by nearly £300, so that's what's changed it.  Greedy government B* stds

So the FE V2 in the US, is the excuse to up the price (by $12k).
