2023 and new beginnings….. what next.

I’ve not updated in a while due to other distractions and not wishing to post due to online stalking that’s occurring. 
 

however - today the sun is shining and I’m reflecting.

Car was on the rollers on Wednesday but after three runs to baseline it shat itself all over the dyno. It dumped all the coolant and he didn’t wish to top it up. He seemed to think the head gasket was gone - I was more inclined to think it was an airlock. He thought since it was about 40bhp down I had issues…..

oh - the conversation changed a bit and I was like hmmm really it only did 160-170 bhp?. It felt good and on the money power wise on the way over. Oh no he says it did 232bhp ……. Well wow - it only books at 210-215 but it does have an alunox on her. 
 

anyway - collected yesterday. Topped up coolant and then broke down half way home. Steam all over the place - limped her back home

awaited delivery of more coolant 🤣. I had Danny at the back filling her and squeezing pipes - me at the front doing the same and we eventually got water to the radiator. To then find water pouring out - from the top of the engine somewhere. I led under the hateful thing with a phone on video looking up to find its pouring out by the water pump but not from the shaft. I just up and stick my hand down to have a feel around.

new hose arriving today from Amazon… I’m now feeling a hell of a lot better about matters 😂

Pipe now on. System refilled and bled. Car starts stops and seems not to overheat 😂

That's a good outcome! Both on the dyno run and in finding an easy cause for the coolant loss and overheating. 😉

I have had real issues bleeding the coolant system and getting rid of air. I’m starting to think the new water cooled turbo and how I have plumbed it in is the issue.

anyone done the water cooled turbo swap on a turbo esprit ? If so where did they cut in the coolant lines ?
